…that’s how I approach loss these days. It helps.

Reframing losing something close to your heart (just writing this sentence brings on sadness) to being grateful that you got to enjoy it, even for a fleeting moment (some people might never have this privilege) - transforms the feeling of despair, helplessness and grief to deep gratitude. From being a victim to feeling fortunate that we did get to experience something/someone so meaningful.

Life constantly teaches us that permanence is an illusion. The seasons change and circumstances shift. People come and go.

Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting or losing. It means celebrating the beauty of the time you had and moving forward with an open heart, ready to embrace whatever comes next.

It’s no secret that positive emotions like love, compassion, gratitude are healing. On the other hand anger, frustration, fear bring on disease. Since emotions come from the way we interpret life events and the meaning we assign to them, i.e. the story we create around it, I thought I’d share what my spiritual mentor once explained to me:
There are two ways we can look at every challenging event in life:
Disempowering way - it’s so frustrating, can’t believe this happened to me, how could they do this to me, I don’t know how I can handle it, I don’t want to be going through this
Empowering way - that truly sucks, but it is what it is, I can handle it, I can push through, I am strong enough to handle it, s**t happens, now it’s one of those times, I am capable of dealing with it no matter how tough it gets
The first one simply brings you down. You are telling yourself that you don’t believe in your ability to push through this, you don’t feel capable and strong enough.
The second approach creates a sense of trust in yourself, being proud of yourself and telling yourself how capable you are and how much you admire yourself for going through tough times like that.
Which approach do you think is going to create positive emotions and which one will make you feel broken and beaten down? And as we know: ‘your body listens to everything your mind says’ 🤟🏽

Inspired to bring back my regular yoga practice after the recent yoga retreat I visited in Greece🧘‍♀️
If you’re ever around , I recommend visiting .gr for some yummy home made delicious and nutritious food and soul-nurturing morning and evening yoga. We met so many amazing people there, from all around the world. Would love to go back one day…💕

We have been programmed over the years…by our loved ones, teachers, friends, media, environment...
Let’s review our beliefs "algorithms" as opposed to let them run our life in the background. If you come across any redundant ones – create a strong intention (step 1) and take other steps to lose them or re-write them. They may have served a purpose when we came up with them - probably a long time ago, but at this stage many of them are outdated, limiting and harmful…

‘Don’t chase people.
Be an example.
Attract them.
Work hard and be yourself.
The people who belong in your life will come and find you and stay.
Just do your thing.’

Fun camping weekend 🏕️

My intention is to use this platform to share some insight on Nutrition, Health and Wellness…and anything useful I learn in my Nutrition Coaching course or through my own research and curiosity…

Meanwhile…I had a pretty awesome weekend, camping, playing beach volley, having fun in the sun, and I can’t help but post a good vibes pic instead. ☀️
