…that’s how I approach loss these days. It helps.
Reframing losing something close to your heart (just writing this sentence brings on sadness) to being grateful that you got to enjoy it, even for a fleeting moment (some people might never have this privilege) - transforms the feeling of despair, helplessness and grief to deep gratitude. From being a victim to feeling fortunate that we did get to experience something/someone so meaningful.
Life constantly teaches us that permanence is an illusion. The seasons change and circumstances shift. People come and go.
Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting or losing. It means celebrating the beauty of the time you had and moving forward with an open heart, ready to embrace whatever comes next.
