🏃‍♂️ Lake Run Ioannina 2025 🌊
An unforgettable experience around the beautiful lake, showing how sports can bring us closer together, make us stronger, and create a healthier, more enjoyable everyday life.

🙏 A big thank you to the organizers for the amazing event, to who has transformed the city into a sports and athletic hub and to my running partner for the support through every kilometer, and to everyone who shared their energy and smiles along the way.

💙 Running is not only about times and distances it’s about community and the joy of movement. Can’t wait for the next one!

🏋️‍♂️ History was made on Saturday night at ! pulled an unbelievable 510kg (1,124lb) world record deadlift and went on to dominate the Strongman Open in Birmingham. 💪🔥

As the chiropractor for these athletes, I get a behind the scenes look at the toll this level of strength takes on the human body and the importance of keeping recovery, mobility, and alignment dialed in. Every rep, every record, every win is built not just on strength but also on resilience.

Congratulations to Thor and to every athlete who stepped onto that platform from and battling for the podium, to guys like the almost Greek pushing new limits. and for exceeding expectations and being better every time they compete ! is one to keep an eye on! Sad for and that soon will be back better and stronger .

Strongman is more than strength it’s preparation, injury prevention, and recovery. And I’m proud to be part of that process. 🙌

Man Down !
It’s been a while since I last posted but I am looking to posting something that is worth doing not just to create content.
I saw it when I walked past the board a pawn, broken and lying on its side. Something about it struck me, so I took the picture. It wasn’t just plastic. It wasn’t just a piece of a game. It was a reminder.

The pawn is the smallest, the most forgettable. The one sent forward first, expected to break, expected to fall. And yet, without pawns, there is no game. Kings hide behind them. Queens rely on them. Strategy begins and ends with their sacrifice. The irony is bitter: the “least important” carry the greatest burden.

A pawn can cross the whole board, transform into something powerful, change the outcome entirely. But most don’t make it that far. Most break before they get the chance. That’s life. That’s war. That’s truth.

So, when I saw that broken pawn, I didn’t see defeat. I saw proof. Proof that it fought. Proof that even the smallest piece matters because it moved. Because it tried. Because it gave itself to the game.

The stoics say: amor fati — love your fate. Love even the fall, because it is yours. The pawn didn’t choose to be remembered. It didn’t choose to be broken. It simply played its part. And that is enough.

The pawn is down. The soldier is broken. The game continues. And maybe that’s the only victory any of us can hope for: not that we survived the board, but that we played as we wanted, even knowing the end.

Τι μαθαίνει ένας άνθρωπος για τη ζωή, όταν αφιερώνει πενήντα χρόνια στη μελέτη του stress;

⌘ Memory or Oblivion
“The first step in liquidating a people is to erase its memory. Destroy its books, its culture, its history. Then have somebody write new books, manufacture a new culture, invent a new history. Before long that nation will begin to forget what it is and what it was… The struggle of man against power is the struggle of memory against forgetting.”
~ Milan Kundera

Kundera’s words reveal a deep truth: the survival of a people is not just about their physical existence but about their memory—their history, culture, and identity. When these are erased or rewritten, they lose their foundation, their sense of self. This is why oppressive regimes seek to destroy the past, not simply to control narratives but to reshape reality itself, making people easier to govern, to redefine, to forget who they once were.

But the struggle of memory against forgetting is not only a political one—it is a human one. In an age of distraction and information overload, we risk forgetting not because we are forced to, but because we fail to remember, to engage, to pass on the wisdom of those who came before us. Are we complicit in our own forgetting? Do we safeguard our history, or do we let it fade into irrelevance?

To remember is to resist, but more than that, it is to affirm meaning. It is to acknowledge that our lives are part of a greater story, one that connects past, present, and future. If memory is what shapes identity, then the real question is:
Will we choose to remember?

⌘The Dead Horse Theory and the Illusion of Persistence

We are taught that perseverance is a virtue. That to give up is to fail. That winners push through, no matter the cost. But what if this belief is exactly what keeps us trapped?

The Dead Horse Theory isn’t just about businesses clinging to failing projects or leaders refusing to abandon outdated policies. It’s about life itself. How many people wake up every morning saddling a dead horse—holding onto relationships that have run their course, careers that drain them, habits that no longer serve them, identities that no longer fit?

We justify it in countless ways:
• “I’ve already invested too much.”
• “Things might change if I just try harder.”
• “What will people think if I walk away?”

But the truth is, holding onto something that no longer moves isn’t persistence—it’s fear. Fear of loss, fear of regret, fear of the unknown. So we grip the reins tighter, pretending motion exists where there is none, convincing ourselves that staying stuck is somehow more noble than choosing freedom.

And yet, the moment we let go, something shifts. The weight lifts. A new path appears—one we couldn’t see while clinging to what was already gone.

So here’s the real question:
What “dead horse” are you still riding, and what would happen if you finally let go?

⌘ Roger
Some souls come into our lives and change us forever. Some don’t need words to teach—they do it through presence, through love, through simply being. Roger was one of those souls.
He wasn’t just a best friend as they say about dogs . He was family .
He was only four years old and he passed today, too soon by any measure, but in those short years, he lived with a fullness that most of us struggle to achieve in a lifetime. Dogs don’t overthink love. They don’t hold grudges. They don’t wait for the “right moment” to show affection. They just exist in the purest form of loyalty, joy, and presence.

He taught me patience—not through instruction, but through the silent understanding in his eyes. He reminded me to find joy in the simplest things—a morning walk, a familiar scent, a quiet moment sitting side by side. He never needed a reason to be happy. He just was.

Humans complicate love, but dogs perfect it. They love without conditions, without expectations, without ego. They don’t care who you are, what you’ve done, or what you plan to do. They just love you because you are theirs. And in the end, maybe that’s the purest love of all.

Four years wasn’t enough. But maybe no amount of time ever would be. He is gone, but the lessons remain. And maybe that’s what matters most.

Roger and out

⌘To blame vs to own
Blaming someone else for your suffering might feel justified, but it never actually helps. It’s easy to think that your pain is caused by what someone said or did—their mistakes, their unfairness, their choices. But what if the real cause isn’t what happened, but how it’s being processed and held onto?

Our minds are great at creating stories. They take painful moments and build entire narratives around them, assigning blame and adding layers of emotion. But the problem is, when blame is given away, so is power. It places happiness in someone else’s hands, waiting for them to change, apologize, or make things right. But what if peace was never about them? What if it was always an internal decision?

People will mess up. They’ll disappoint, they’ll be unfair, and sometimes they’ll hurt you. But what happens next—how it’s interpreted, how long it lingers, and whether it becomes suffering—is completely within personal control. And that’s where real strength lies: in realizing that suffering isn’t about the external event, but about holding on to something that can’t be changed.

Taking responsibility for emotions doesn’t mean excusing bad behavior; it means reclaiming control. Pain is real, but suffering is a choice. Shifting from victimhood to growth is what makes the difference. The world isn’t always fair, but peace doesn’t have to depend on that.

Letting go of blame doesn’t mean pretending things didn’t hurt—it means refusing to let those things define the future. When responsibility is taken for thoughts and emotions, life stops feeling like something that just happens to you and starts feeling like something you shape.

Freedom starts the moment ownership is taken. The choice is always there: stay stuck in blame or move forward with strength. At the end of the day, the only thing truly in your control is yourself—and that’s where real peace begins.

⌘ A Holistic Approach to a Swimmer’s Well-being – 1st Hellenic Swimming Conference 2025

I had the honor of participating in this pioneering conference hosted by , among outstanding scientists and experts such as .gr and Dr Pagkourelias, presenting on “A Holistic Approach to Swimmer’s Well-being.”

An athlete’s performance and longevity are not solely the result of training. Prevention, Recovery, Nutrition, neuromuscular development , and Mental Resilience play a crucial role in long-term success. In my talk, I explored how a holistic approach—integrating chiropractic care, functional rehabilitation and neurology—can enhance performance and reduce the risk of injuries in swimmers.

I would like to thank the Swimming Conference organizing team for this innovative initiative and all the participants who shared their knowledge and insights. It was a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and advance the scientific support of athletes.
