The grief of Natalia, the chimpanzee who has carried the lifeless body of her baby for seven months 🐒

For seven months, Natalia, the chimpanzee at Bioparc Valencia, carried the body of her deceased baby. She cared for him and carried him in her arms, as if he were still alive. Bioparc respected her grieving process and let her decide when to let go of her baby.

Έκανα ό,τι έπρεπε
αγόρασα μια φάκα
έβαλα βρώμικο τυρί
για να μυρίζει δυνατά
την τοποθέτησα
στο πίσω μέρος της αυλής

εκείνος πιάστηκε
στη φάκα έσκουζε
μ' ένα μπαστούνι
του έσπασα τη ράχη
άνοιξα τη φάκα
τον άφησα ελέυθερο

περπατούσε μόνο
στα μπροστινά του πόδια
στριγγλίζοντας
ο υπόλοιπος σερνόταν
ήρθε η γάτα
έπαιξε λίγο μαζί του

τον έπιασε προσεκτικά
τον πήγε στα γατάκια της
να παίξουνε κι εκείνα
έκοψα ένα κομμάτι
απ' το ίδιο τυρί
ξαναέστησα τη φάκα

τον επόμενο θα τον πνίξω
σ' έναν κουβά με νερό.

Με έκανε να αναλογιστώ την ικανότητα του χρόνου και των συνθηκών (καιρικών στη προκειμένη) να μαλακώνουν τις αιχμές και πως ακόμη και τα πιο σκληρά υλικά μπορούν να μεταμορφωθούν…

Τσιγκουνιά δεν ειναι μόνο το να μην δίνεις, είναι και το να μην παίρνεις.
