Guam lost a champion for the unborn this week. Attorney Peter R. Sgro, Jr will be remembered for his tireless work on behalf of the least among us. Peter was a dear friend to me and Safe Haven Pregnancy Center, his fight for life (even his own) will always be remembered.

His love for sunsets, music, family, friends, adventure, and lengthy conversations only scratch the surface of a brilliant man with a tender heart in a tough world.

What I will remember most, and rejoice in, is during a season in his life with us, he accepted the gift of salvation which is freely given by our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ and baptized before a large body of believers.

My friend Peter will be missed; however, I know we will meet again!

“So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5: 6~8
