Guam Immunization Program The Guam Immunization Program's mission is to help prevent and control the transmission of vaccine-preventable diseases (VPDs) on Guam.

The Immunization Program prevents and controls transmission of vaccine-preventable diseases with particular emphasis on accelerating interventions to improve the immunization coverage of children less than 2 years old, adolescents, and high-risk adults. Program Services:

Parents and caregivers: Have questions about COVID-19 vaccines for kids? Here are 4 things you need to know.

CDC recommends children ages 6 months and older get vaccinated against COVID-19. The COVID-19 vaccine is available and it’s free. It’s offered at the Northern Region Community Health Center, Southern Region Community Health Center, and at the Agana Shopping Center. Join Us! Back to School Immunization Clinic on Saturday, July 30, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., or while supplies last at the Barrigada Community Center.

This clinic is for children 4 years – 18 years of age, and limited to those with Medicaid, MIP, or no insurance. All necessary routine child immunizations will be given, except varicella (chickenpox) vaccine. No TB (PPD) skin tests will be given.

Requirements for children less than18 years old to receive routine child immunizations:

• Child's birth certificate
• Child’s most current shot record
• Parent/legal guardian/authorized adult's government-issued photo identification
• Minor must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or an authorized adult. If other than parent, adult must present legal guardianship, power-of-attorney, or written authorization from parent.

Yes. Everyone is considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks after their second dose in a two-dose primary series, such as the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines, or two weeks after a single-dose J&J/Janssen vaccine.

UPDATE: COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics for March 25-27 & March 30-April 2 at UOG

COVID-19 vaccination clinics continue through Saturday, March 27, from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Tuesday, March 30 to April 2, 2021 from 12 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the UOG Fieldhouse. These clinics will administer first doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and second doses of both the Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is not available at the UOG vaccination clinic at this time.

Eligible residents are advised to schedule an appointment online via Eventbrite at tinyurl.com/vaccinateguMar30-Apr2.

Eligibility is open to residents 16 years and older. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and provide government-issued identification to validate age. The parent or legal guardian will also be required to sign a consent form on behalf of the minor to receive the vaccine.

If scheduling an appointment is not possible, walk-ins will be accepted at a limited rate of 15 per hour. Walk-ins wishing to avoid longer wait times are discouraged from lining up prior to the 10 a.m. opening and are asked to expect reasonable delays.

Upon arrival, individuals 60 years and older will be sent to the front of the line.

Please bring a digital or hard copy appointment confirmation, a photo ID, and proof of Guam residency (Guam Driver's License, Guam ID, Green Card, US, FSM, Palau, or RMI Passport). Those due for their second dose are reminded to bring their COVID-19 immunization card. This ensures quicker processing and proper documentation.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), those due for their second dose of the vaccine may get their second dose up to four (4) days early or 42 days after. The CDC further states that if it is not feasible to adhere to the recommended interval and a delay in vaccination is unavoidable, the second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines may be administered up to 6 weeks (42 days) after the first dose.

VAPPC Expands COVID-19 Vaccine Eligibility to residents ages 16 years and older, effective immediately. Minors may only receive the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine as the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson/Janssen (J & J/Janssen) vaccines are not recommended for individuals below the age of 18 years.

Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and provide government-issued identification to validate age. The parent or legal guardian will also be required to sign a consent form on behalf of the minor to receive the vaccine.

COVID-19 vaccination clinics continue through Saturday, March 20, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Tuesday, March 23 to March 27 from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the UOG Fieldhouse.

These clinics will administer first doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and second doses of both the Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. In anticipation of vaccine shipments arriving this week, COVID-19 mass vaccination clinics are scheduled to resume on Monday, March 8 to Saturday, 13, 2021 at the UOG Fieldhouse.
