Whether you’ve experienced violence firsthand or feel overwhelmed just witnessing it — your pain is real. Personal and vicarious trauma can live in the body, showing up as rage, anxiety, numbness, fatigue, hypervigilance, or emotional shutdown. If these protective responses are left unprocessed, they can quietly impact your health, relationships, and sense of safety.
You do not have to carry this weight alone, or, forever. Although healing is not a linear journey, recovery is possible.
Join Dr. Janelle Chase-Mayers and Marva Langevine, for a supportive, 1-hour, online session, offering supportive strategies, therapeutic tools and psychoeducation to help you to cope with your body’s responses to the trauma caused by experiencing or witnessing violence.
Together, let’s create “a community of care” to encourage personal reflection and healthy coping strategies. You deserve support. You deserve healing.
Please note: This session is a supportive, educational space designed to gently support the processing of grief and trauma, but it is not a therapy session. If you are in crisis or in need of personalised mental health care, we encourage you to seek support from a trained mental health care provider.
