I know many holistic health practitioners would agree that they often see much more female clients than male ones. While it’s also true for me but I feel quite blessed to resonate with male clients and I feel we can feel common language. In many ways I think like men in the sense that I need to ‘understand’ and I love the ‘science’ of things.

The true and original spirit of ‘science’ is to discover without pre assumption. And I share that curiosity.

My last group constellation client was a man in this workshop (I am grateful for all my participants who have consent for us to film it). His wants to get to the bottom of his business and financial issues that are chronic and that seem to run across generations. He learnt of the Family/Systemic Constellation approach from a Netflix series called ‘Another Self’ which has helped to popularise this seemingly ‘strange’ method. What was revealed was truly eye and heart opening.

I love to be the bridge from the ‘sketical’ to the ‘mystical’. I am not afraid of people who have a healthy sense of skepticism. As a (Sun) Aquarian, independent thinking is a quality I highly identify with. I much prefer working with that than clients who see me as a ‘guru’ and call me their ‘spiritual teacher’. (That makes me cringe…)

This full moon that’s building up is in Aquarian. A lot of aspects are making this time challenging, such as the square between Jupiter and Saturn, considered the biggest transit of the year. If you are feeling torn, restless, anxious… you are not alone. You may on one hand feeling optimistic and be presented with lots of opportunities (Jupiter) but at the same time you are faced with lots of limitations forcing you to be ‘realistic’ (Saturn)…. Add that to the backdrop of Chiron (core wound) and Mercury (thinking) in retrograde. There can be ‘stuckness’ in the air and if we may need to face our past and we cannot seem to escape feeling our old wound.

But nothing is ‘bad’ from the higher system level.

It’s times like this that is best for deep transformative healing.

Keep breathing….

Coming Monday in our scheduled constellation workshop, in the spirit of Aquarian (the big picture collective minded archetype), we will be constellating human evolution in the coming twenty years (Period 9 and Pluto in Aquarius).

Feel free to reach out or check my Linktree for details.

Let’s stay centred, present and heal well and deep. If not now, when?

We only realised our intern was at the Mirror concert and she saw the incident from close distance. She broke down in tears while recounting the incident today. She had flashbacks and had not been sleeping probably last two nights.

Carmen Mak suggested me to do a healing for her. We ended up doing it together with our cleaning lady and also a client also.

So we resourced with all the tools in my toolbox (such as essential oils, breathwork, movements etc) so that we could process the emotions stored in the body safely and easefully. Some tears were shed. Everyone was encouraged to make noises, shake etc. We all left feeling more accepting of what happened, and we could be with the recounting. It feels much more neutral in the body level, not just intellectually.

𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗺𝗮 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀.

In response to experiences that overwhelm our nervous system, the primal survival mechanism kicks in to protect us. One may process and release the emotions by:

𝗙𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: screaming, swearing, finding who’s to blame and what needs to be done

𝗙𝗹𝗲𝗲: avoiding feeling by going straight to spiritual-bypassing: “sending love and light” and pretending one does not have “negative” emotions; or any other strategies to numb, such as taking medication to encourage disassociation.

𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘇𝗲: blanking out, being depressed and having no energy to do things (this is when one is stuck in the initial freeze response which is natural at the moment of trauma)

In emergency, medication can help to trigger the freeze response to save life. But numbing indefinitely is not healing. A living system is capable of self regulation and restoring its optimal functioning.

Crying, screaming, sighing, shaking are all natural and helpful ways of self regulation. Many of us has been brought up to suppress these natural responses. That’s why it’s so important to allow space for safe expression of these perfect and healing responses. Emotions are energy. Energy needs to flow. Suppressing makes healing harder.

“Addiction” of many kinds is a disassociation strategy and is normalised in our society.

We can only truly heal and restore and build natural resilience of our living (nervous) system by acknowledging and giving space for the expression of “negative” emotions – there is nothing “negative” about them except our beliefs about them....

Can we be more INCLUSIVE in our approach to health and wellbeing?

From atomic bomb to the internet, human life has undergone massive revolution in the last century since the discovery in quantum mechanics with Einstein’s E = mc2 implicating a whole new understanding that “energy” and “matter” are actually made of the same universal substance, and that energy precedes matter, validating long held wisdom in many Eastern and ancient systems.

In the area of health and medicine however applications based on quantum physics have been minimal. Health restoration with , , , , etc have been shunned as “unscientific”. But every year, statistics have shown that more and more of our population are (re)turning into “alternative” medicine that are based in thousands of years of successful application.

My hope is to be a bridger of worlds and connect the world of “science” and the realm of “energy” and “spirit”.

If you are open to an more INCLUSIVE approach to health, wellbeing and self realisation, join me and 35 speakers in the *Dimensions of Qi summit* to understand more in the energetics of food, how to work with the biofield (“Qi”), natural non-invasive self healing practices, spiritual and emotional wellbeing. It looks set to be a nourishing and inspiring weekend.

My topic 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶-𝗱𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 is inspired by the experience and learnings gained studying and working with body-mind-spirit health professionally since 2005 (and observations in my own life before that). We will discuss “immunity” in 6 different dimensions that make up who we are – physical, biofield, emotional, mental, collective and spiritual, and how to harness
. The session will include knowledge sharing and experiential group healing.

Thank you Kimberly Ashton (based in Sydney) for organising this summit in the APAC time zone!

More info and link to register is in the comments.

My live session 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶-𝗗𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 is at *2pm HKT May 15th Sunday*.

Breathing is such a fundamental thing we do and we often take it for granted.

Breathing expands our vehicle to process our experiences. Whenever our nervous system is overwhelmed our breathing is disrupted. We literally shrink and narrow our resources. With skilful practice and willingness we can use breath to help us heal on the multi-dimensional level, and this includes accessing pre-verbal memories and shifting the core of who we feel we are.

The collective trauma in the last two years has really motivated me to practise and offer this, and integrating all the techniques I know to work and improve the safety and potency of the experience.

I usually run the 90 mins integrative breathwork session twice a month around the moon cycles. It’s an affordable and potent session for those who are functioning normally but wish to release trauma with a guided inner journey in a safe space. It’s available in person or online. What do you want to manifest in your life now?

Come breathe with our breathing circle and let’s manifest together!

Join me this week to learn, be inspired and heal!

Come together to watch this inspiring full length documentary featuring 𝐃𝐫. 𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐭é, MD, expert in trauma, addiction and mind-body health connection. He was born into the holocaust era and was separated from his mother in his early life, with first-hand understanding of early developmental trauma.

The latest definition of "trauma" is expanded to acknowledge that “trauma” is not in the event but in how it impacts the person. So you don’t have to have the kind of trauma like the Holocaust to be affected.

In The 𝐖𝐢𝐬𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐮𝐦𝐚 documentary, the film makers travel alongside Dr. Gabor Maté to explore why our society is facing such epidemics.

At 𝐢𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠, we have been sharing Dr. Gabor Maté’s deep concern for mental health, seeing the unmistakable connection of illness and trauma, and in promoting proactive cultivation of mental wellbeing and facilitation of trauma healing.

This film is available for viewing in limited time. If you have watched it already you are also welcome to join us for the discussion only.

The trauma of the pandemic goes way beyond the physical. (Survival rate of COVID is 99.99%.) But the real damage probably lies in the trauma response triggered in peoples' nervous system (which in turn dysregulate immune functioning and everything else of the body).

Trauma is debilitating and overwhelming. It disconnects us from our inner resources. Trauma is traumatic because in trauma we feel ALONE. A baby that’s crying for connection doesn’t know when the connection will be restored. It feels like it is about to die. It falls asleep because the nervous system shuts down.

Therefore for most of us trauma of disconnection goes way before we have words and a developed nervous system. It only takes parents who are ‘busy’ (just like most parents who have to work because our society doesn’t support parental leave) or the hired or substitute caretaker not being attuned to the baby’s need for connection (not just food and shelter) to create trauma imprints onto the baby’s neurology.

𝑾𝒆 𝒂𝒃𝒔𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒚 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒍.

We need emotional attunement and co-regulation. We need being seen. There is limit to trying to rough it out or reading a book, or meditating and disassociating (a typical trauma response).

𝑰𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒍𝒚 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒍, 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓, 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒃𝒆, 𝒄𝒐-𝒓𝒆𝒈𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆, 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒃𝒖𝒕𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓, 𝑰 𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒆𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒚𝒐𝒖.

We can co-create a more authentic and compassionate world together. 🙏🏼💜

A lot of new research in neuroscience and psychology have emerged in the last two decades that have helped us understand what contribute to true health and inspired us to develop better ways to heal from early trauma individually and collectively....

𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘉𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘌𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦

The new born not only requires their physical needs met to survive, he/she absolutely also requires connection through touch and gaze to survive and thrive.

Their nervous system requires their primary caretakers’ nervous system (especially their mother's) to co-regulate and develop.
In gestation the foetus is attuned to their mother's biorhythm and state of the nervous system. The new born's brain development is dependent on their interaction with its environment. It is not “set” at birth.

From the bottom up we develop the template for life from our pre-verbal phase of life. Did you develop nervous system resiliency with caretakers who were present for you?

Many in our world did not. Many caretakers are themselves very dysregulated. And in fact parents were/are even told to ignore the baby’s cry for connection. What do you think the body would learn and remember? That its needs are not to be met? That I am not safe?

Do you want to have better relationships but find it challenging to deeply connect? Always attract ‘the wrong person’? Could it be that on the most basic level you ‘expect’ that?

𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦?

Early developmental trauma can have far-reaching impact on how one experiences life and what kind of citizen the person becomes. When the young child develops secure attachment with primary caretakers who are present and emotionally attuned for the child, the child develops into a happy, balanced and empathetic person. The person develops a resilient nervous system and thus a healthier body as well.

Such a person is also far less likely to cause harm to anyone (including themselves) in society.
