🌬 Do you have bad breath? What is it and can certain foods help it? Read our post to find out!
🦠 bad breath is caused by bacteria in your mouth which feeds on food particles. They release sulfur compounds which are stinky.
🦷 besides from good oral hygiene, different foods can also help combat bad breath!
💧 water: rinse away leftover food in mouth, less food for the bacteria to eat
🥛yogurt: probiotics fights the bad mouth bacteria
🍵 green tea: catechins (antioxidant) and polyphenols fight bad mouth bacteria
🌿 parsley: polyphenols and chlorophyll help to deodorize the bad scent
🍬gum: gets rid of leftover food from the mouth, stimulates saliva
🫖ginger: 6-gingerol increases saliva’s ability to get rid of sulfur compounds
