The Hong Kong Institute of Cell Molecular Medicine (HKICMM) was established in Hong Kong in 2015 to study new technologies and theories of precision medicine at the cellular molecular level to serve the development of precision medicine in Asia.
Biomedical development is rapid, but so far there is no specific early diagnosis and treatment for cancer, aging and viral infections and other incurable diseases. With the accumulation of genomic data, it is necessary to set up a research institution focusing on the functional mechanism of living cells, establish a biomedical big data analysis platform, and then from different levels of cell molecular medicine, mining biomedical big data. Through data mining to obtain new hypothanthesis; By validating the hypothesis to form a new theory, it can be transformed into a practice that can be used for precision medicine or a new clinical treatment.
HKICMM is committed to exploring new tumor cell markers and developing new gene drug formulations to drive the rapid development of precision medicine.
HKICMM has established close cooperation with internationally renowned medical academic institutions, and strive to make precision medicine theory better serve clinical care, serve patients with special diseases, serve new drugs and research and development of new medical technologies.
