一向是夜貓子的我，從來抗拒早起。為了這些美麗的大馬士革玫瑰，堅持每天五點半起床。風乾的程序非常耗時，但是聞這些乾透的玫瑰發出的陣陣幽香，便會覺得十分值得。

最感動的一次，是我把自己親手做的玫瑰送俾一位好朋友。她放了兩三對玫瑰泡茶，然後告訴我，真的太香了！她很後悔放了這麼多的玫瑰！早知只放一朵便夠了！

雖然這些風乾玫瑰花和花瓣，和玫瑰花茶裏的玫瑰是同一類型，滲着同一樣的醉人香氣，但是記着這並非給你食用的唷！把它放在你的浴缸裏，或者做護膚產品和蠟燭，讓每天都過着情人節一般的浪漫吧！

I am always super lazy to get up early, except for rose picking. The room was fully with the fragrance of the aromatic dry rose and petals!

I gave some of the dry roses which were made by me to my good friend, and I was surprised that she told me she regretted - for putting more than one rose to make the floral tea! The roses were so aromatic and precious that only one would be very enough!

Yes these roses are the same with those in the organic tea, but they are not designed for food! Add a few into your bath, candles and DIY skin care products, keep enjoying your valentine everyday!

不老不死傳說，來自保加利亞的液態黃金 - 大馬士革玫瑰

眾所周知，玫瑰精油，可算是香薰精油當其中一種最貴的香薰精油。玫瑰精油也有很多種，其中最出名的包括白玫瑰，香水玫瑰，以及今天主角 - 大馬士革玫瑰。

大馬士革玫瑰 Rosa Damascena 生長在不同地方。其中最出名的，就是產自保加利亞。保加利亞的玫瑰谷，由於地形、土質和氣候十分獨特，憑藉天然的雨水和肥沃的土壤，至今這個大馬士革玫瑰花孕育場，仍然是無可取替。

大馬士革玫瑰，香氣濃郁，甜美可人。只需要三朵的玫瑰花，便可以令滿室芳香撲鼻。每年的花期大約只有兩個星期，燦爛而短暫。每一朵玫瑰，由小小的花苞直至凋謝，只有二至三天的時間。到五月中旬至六月，便是花農忙碌的時候。大馬士革玫瑰必須經過人手採摘，採摘玫瑰工人每天早上五時開始工作，務求把玫瑰最香的時光保留。每個村莊每年會有玫瑰皇后選舉，都是一年一度的盛事。

以玫瑰花製造玫瑰花茶、入膳，可以寧神安眠去肝鬱，面色白裡透紅好氣息。透過不同的萃取過程，更可以提煉成各種不同的香薰製品。比起利用溶劑提取精油所製造成的玫瑰原精rose absolute ，蒸餾法更加能夠保持香薰精油的純正程度。要製成1公斤的奧圖玫瑰精油Rose Otto，需要用到3.5噸的大馬革玫瑰，即是每一滴玫瑰精油，都需要4000朶玫瑰花。我去保加利亞玫瑰園採摘玫瑰，到後來熟手的時候每半小時也只能摘一百多朶。可想而知，為什麼玫瑰精油會那麼昂貴，被稱為液態金。

另外一個原因，是因為玫瑰精油保養得宜的話，人們相信它是沒有期限的。保加利亞國家銀行裡，仍然保存着具有四百年歷史的玫瑰精油。傳統的精油，在運送途中會使用黃銅造成的器皿好好保存。器皿互相敲擊發出「鄺鄺」聲，所以人們也將這個器皿命名為「鄺鄺」。

大馬士革玫瑰精油的成分十分複雜，已知的有三百多種以上。其中主要為醇（alcohol)，有強烈的消炎殺菌抗病毒功效，令身體和暖滋補，適合過敏性及幼嫰皮膚，也適合兒童和老人家。另外，單倍萜烯 monoterpenes 也有良好的消炎殺菌抗病毒作用。所以玫瑰精油，對於敏感性皮膚、乾燥皮膚、濕疹、成熟肌膚有治療和預防衰老的療效以外，亦可以抗疱疹病毒，對尿道發炎有幫助。

玫瑰對於增加自信、激勵心靈、穩定並提升情緒、緩解憤怒悲痛十分有用。故且對於抑鬱、喪失至親之痛、失眠、頭痛和神經緊張十分有效。

就中醫角度看，玫瑰對於心肝脾肺腎經皆有用，性甘、溫、苦。

對於腎經，玫瑰可以調節內分泌系統，滋養子宮，調節經期、緩減經痛和更年期不適。也可以幫助製造精子，催情及提升性能力。

對於肝膽脾胃經，玫瑰有紓解肝鬱，行氣止痛、健脾和胃的功能。幫助消化不良、腹脹噁心、膽囊炎、黃疸等症狀。

玫瑰入心經，可促進血液循環，調節心律，強化微血管。把玫瑰精油用底油稀䆁按摩心包經，幫助入睡並提升精神狀態和心情。

玫瑰入肺經，對哮喘、肺炎、支氣管炎和肺結核都有用。也有收縮微血管、收斂毛孔的功效。尤其對於敏感乾性及老化之肌膚，有回春的作用。肌膚白裏透紅，細緻動人。

在脈輪系統方面，玫瑰對應心輪。讓人感到愛，和自愛。無論單獨使用，或者加入粉晶做成魔法油，也可以増加魅力，提升人緣和愛情運。

由於玫瑰精油十分矜貴，我們要小心避免假冒。保加利亞的記念品店，往往都有十分之便宜的玫瑰香油Rose Oil賣，配上獨特的保加利亞木樽，成為其中一種最具有特色的紀念。那些香精的效果，當然無法與真正的玫瑰精油相比。如何分別玫瑰香精，和真正的玫瑰精油，其實並不困難。只要把真正的玫瑰精油存於17度或以下，便會形成結晶。再把玫瑰精油存於掌心，很短時間內便會回復液體狀。雖然分辨方法並不困難，可是裝有珍貴的玫瑰精油以1毫升或半毫升的玻璃瓶，往往被密封在木樽中並加蠟印，以致無法分辨。所以最緊要是選擇信譽良好的精油提煉廠，並配有證書證明，方可安心。把玫瑰精油儲存在乾爽清涼陰暗的地方，壽命可以長達幾年。

玫瑰花水有微量玫瑰精油成份。除了具有玫瑰精油的功效，對於保濕皮膚的作用十分出色。把玫瑰花水用作爽膚水，製造面膜、面霜和精華素，對皮膚有全校的保護作用。

別以為是女生的專利，對男生也可以十分吸引。把一滴的精油用五毫升的底油稀釋，輕輕按摩，對精神壓力和沮喪的情緒極有幫助。玫瑰花水性質溫和，也可以用在小孩、老人家和寵物身上。把幾滴玫瑰花水塗在手上，如果寵物喜歡，會自行靠近輕聞甚至舔一下，有助放鬆情緒，或梳理毛髮時使用可以增添光澤。

把玫瑰精油及花水造成面膜，每天5分鐘，讓肌膚細嫩動人，白𥚃透红。氣息好，增添個人魅力，更省卻化妝，減低化學物品對肌膚的負荷。也可以把一滴玫瑰精油放入5-10毫升的面霜、沐浴露或洗髮水中，由頭到腳保持最佳狀態。
