Some trips leave you needing another break. The schedule is full, the pace is fast, and you return carrying the same internal noise you left with.

An intentional retreat moves differently. There is space to breathe, to notice the body, to listen without urgency. Time stretches. The nervous system softens. Clarity begins to surface in quiet moments rather than crowded ones.

When travel is approached with intention, the experience has the space to be centred around reconnection.

You come back grounded, steady, and more aware of what truly matters. The energy shifts from constant movement into presence, reflection, and renewal that continues long after the journey ends.

What a beautiful time we had together in Sri Lanka last week on retreat. Thank you each and every one of you for giving yourself time and space, trusting, allowing yourself to be in authentic connection and for then embracing the practices and each other with such joy.

Ohhh how we laughed, connected, cried, listened deeply as stories were shared, held the anger, shamelessly fell over in yoga classes, slept in yoga nidra, supported each other in pain and sat together bonded deeply in silence.

One participant asked if we would ever see each other again. I don’t know…but what I do know is that if any of us see each other again there will be an intimacy and deep connection that will be instantly recognized. It really felt like home being with you all.

Thank you Thank you.

Blame can feel comforting, even temporarily liberating. When everything is someone else’s fault, we don’t have to face the discomfort of choice or change but we also give away our power.

Blame offers sympathy and certainty, but it often leaves us feeling powerless, waiting for life or others to change first.

Responsibility is different. It doesn’t mean carrying shame or denying what happened, it means recognizing that while something may not be your fault, it is still your choice how you move forward.

The moment you take ownership of your reactions, boundaries, and direction, possibility opens. You can change how you respond, what you tolerate, and the quality of your life.

Blame keeps life happening to you; responsibility puts you back in the driver’s seat and that’s where real freedom begins.

Life is not about force, it’s about finding a steady flow. When we surrender to the rhythm, we move with life instead of against it.

Trusting the flow doesn’t mean giving up; it means navigating challenges with ease, presence and grace.

Like a river, life has bends, currents, and still waters. By letting go of control and embracing the journey, we find clarity, resilience and peace in each moment.

Have you ever wondered why your heart races when you’re stressed, or why deep breaths can calm you down?

The vagus nerve is one of the longest nerves in your body.

It connects your brain to your heart, lungs and digestive system, helping your body respond to stress and relaxation.

It sends signals back and forth: telling your heart to slow, your lungs to breathe deeply and your gut to digest.

These are messages from your body, communicating.

You can gently stimulate it with deep breaths, gentle humming, or a splash of cool water.

These small practices help your nervous system reset.

Your vagus nerve is sending signals, not judgments.
Notice, respond and treat yourself with curiosity not criticism.

I’m here in beautiful Sri Lanka, hosting a personal development retreat that isn’t about fixing anything - but about slowing down enough to hear what’s already true inside you.

Throughout the retreat, we work gently with the nervous system, emotional awareness and the subconscious stories the body has been carrying - often quietly - for years. Through guided reflection, somatic practices, meaningful conversation, time in nature and intentional stillness, the noise begins to soften and clarity naturally returns.

Sri Lanka offers a unique environment for deep personal growth. The rhythm of the land, the presence of abundant nature and the slower pace invite you out of performance and back into embodied presence.

This retreat is for anyone who just needs a minute to breathe! Sometimes something deeper is asking for attention - a desire for emotional clarity, inner alignment and reconnection to self.

Not a new version of you.
Just a truer one.

I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has trusted this work and shared this space with openness - your presence is what makes these retreats so meaningful.

If this resonates, stay tuned.
I’ll be holding a personal development retreat in England this May.

You’ll know if it’s for you.

What truly changes your life is not the future you’re waiting for, but how you choose to see — and stay with — the life you are already living.

So much of our energy is spent anticipating what’s next: the moment things feel easier, clearer, safer, more complete.

But while we’re looking ahead, life is quietly unfolding here.

And if we’re not present, we miss it.

The quality of your life is shaped by your attention.
By how deeply you inhabit your moments.
By whether you’re meeting your days with awareness, or rushing through them in search of something else.
Presence isn’t passive.
It’s an active decision to stop abandoning the now for a promised future.

To stop postponing aliveness.

To let this moment be enough to meet you exactly where you are. Life is happening here.

Tension isn’t just in your mind it lives in your body too.

Noticing tight shoulders, a racing heart, or a heavy chest is the first step to releasing it.

Drop your attention down into your body. Feel the sensations without judgment.

Breathe into the areas that feel tight, softening and releasing with each exhale.

When you connect to your body, you reconnect to your sense of feeling and it increases your capacity and awareness.

Small practices of body awareness, mindful breathing, and grounding can help you release tension and invite calm into your day.

You don’t need to earn calm—you just need to return to yourself.

Maybe 2025 pulled you in a thousand directions, leaving little space to breathe, feel, and reconnect.

Calm may feel like a reward; but it’s your natural state waiting for your attention.

By pausing, noticing your body, or simply taking a mindful breath, you create space to listen to yourself again.

Every moment you make for presence is a moment of self-connection, not self-judgment.

Start small. Return to yourself. Invite calm. It’s already here.

🌀 Calm is not a vacation, it’s a skill.

Regulation doesn’t happen in isolation - it happens in connection.
When we feel safe, when we feel seen, our whole system starts to exhale.

This post is a quiet invitation.
To notice what your body is carrying.
To remember that calm is a capacity - not a luxury.
And to know that it can be practiced, nurtured, and reclaimed.

📍A UK retreat is coming.
Held in stillness, in nature, in community.
Details soon.

Spirals

Spiralling. Sometimes life feels like it’s on an upward spiral and sometimes it feels like it’s on a downward spiral.

In fact, I would say that sometimes nothing changes in the external world, yet our perception, mood or state of mind takes us either up or down.

And I can swap between these 2 states multiple times….even in one day!

The practise is to learn to keep re-centring our state, gain perspective and to train ourselves not to engage in the mental downward spiral.

We all do at times…we all fall down the rabbit hole.

The key is to develop enough self awareness so that when you catch yourself spiralling you can bring yourself back to the present with loving kindness.

Warning: Self flagellation only makes the downward spiral more intense!

Self awareness is a practise (and one we need to cultivate) in order to be free from the deception of the mental spiral. With support and understanding we can learn to snap ourselves out of these negative feeling states.

What are your thoughts on spirals?🌀
