Collaborating with doctors, physiotherapists & Tai Chi Masters, we have created an easy to follow balance program that focuses on: mind/body coordination, strength training and injury prevention.

A few days alone in Yangshuo to be in nature and focus on training – especially Tai Chi. 🌿

With karst mountains, the Li River and UNESCO-protected countryside, Yangshuo is one of the most beautiful places in China. It's a setting that naturally slows everything down and helps deepen practice.

獨自在陽朔待了幾天,在大自然中專注練習——尤其是太極拳。🌿

陽朔擁有喀斯特山峰、漓江與聯合國教科文組織保護的鄉郊風景,是中國最美麗的地方之一。這樣的環境讓人自然而然地慢下來,有助於深化練習。

A different kind of slowdown. ☯️

We had the pleasure of hosting Tai Chi workshops for the athletes and creators at LANG's Hong Kong pop-up launch – participants included Olympians and competitors across swimming, fencing, basketball and more.

Tai Chi is different from other sports. The level of control required is no small thing – slowing down is more tiring than it looks!

Thank you to LANG and Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong for having us – and to everyone who showed up with such open minds and interesting questions.

另一種「慢」下來的方式。☯️

我們很榮幸為 LANG 香港快閃店開幕活動主持太極拳工作坊——參加者包括來自游泳、擊劍、籃球等多個項目的奧運選手與運動員。

太極讓其他運動有所不同。它所要求的控制力絕非易事,動作慢比看起來更累人!

✈️ Flying this long weekend? Sitting for hours slows circulation in your legs – on long flights, that's how deep vein thrombosis (DVT) develops.

Your calf has a deep muscle called the soleus that acts as a second pump for your heart, pushing blood back up from your legs against gravity. When you're seated and still, it switches off.

Move 8 of Baduanjin – Tiptoe Bounces – activates exactly this. Rise onto your toes, let your heels drop with a controlled vibration. Eight repetitions. Find a small space near the bathrooms and do this a few times during the flight. Simple, effective, no equipment needed.

Baduanjin is an 800-year-old Qigong practice built around eight movements, each targeting a different part of the body. Move 8 is the closer – designed to shake out tension, stimulate circulation and reset the system.

長假將至,準備飛嗎?✈️ 長時間坐著令下肢血液循環減慢——這正是長途飛行時深靜脈血栓(DVT)的成因。

小腿深處有一塊「比目魚肌」,負責將血液從下肢泵回心臟,對抗地心引力。久坐不動,它就會停止運作。

八段錦第八式——背後七顛百病消——正是針對這塊肌肉。踮起腳尖,讓腳跟有控制地落下,感受震動。重複八次。飛行途中,在廁所附近找個小空間做幾組,保持血液循環。簡單有效。



八段錦是流傳逾八百年的氣功練習,共八個動作,各針對身體不同部位。第八式為收式——舒緩全身,促進循環,重整狀態。

This week, we had the exciting opportunity to introduce a group of LIV Golf players to Qigong at 大館 Tai Kwun 🤩

Ahead of their tournament in Hong Kong, the athletes joined us for a short cultural experience – starting with a few Kung Fu basics exercises before learning several grounding movements from Baduanjin.

In fact, Qigong is a great tool athletes can use to calm the nervous system, regulate breathing and sharpen focus before competition.

A very cool moment to share traditional Chinese movement practices with world-class athletes visiting Hong Kong 🇭🇰

本週,我們有機會在 大館 Tai Kwun 向一班 LIV Golf 職業高爾夫球手介紹中國功夫,機會十分難得 🤩

在香港賽事開始前,球手們參加了一場文化體驗活動。我們先以幾個基本功動作喚醒身體,再帶領他們學習八段錦中的幾個穩定身心的招式。

其實,八段錦對運動員來說是一個很好的工具,可以幫助調節呼吸、放鬆神經系統,並在比賽前提升專注力。

能夠在香港與世界級運動員分享中國傳統的身心練習,是一次非常特別的體驗 🇭🇰

Balancd™ Tai Chi returns to Central this March ☯️

Our 10-week Thursday evening course is designed as a steady, progressive practice – building balance, coordination and internal strength over time. Rooted in the Northern Shaolin Tai Chi lineage, each session develops structure, awareness and control, guiding you through a complete form week by week.

Classes take place indoors at Moving Cube Studio and are conducted bilingually. If you miss a session, catch-up videos are provided so you can stay consistent.

同衡™ 太極拳將於三月重返中環 ☯️

逢星期四晚舉行的 10 週課程,以循序漸進的方式練習,穩步建立平衡力、協調性與內在力量。
