SUP Yoga Hong Kong

SUP Yoga Hong Kong Come and Stand Up Paddle board Yoga or Fitness with Nadine and Dee! Our SUP yoga day-treat was born in 2013 over a cup of tea.

Under the globally recognized, ASI, SUP YOGA HK is an accredited training centre and running teacher trainings and retreats to offer you the safest and most fun practice out at sea! We wanted to get out on SUP boards to practice yoga. Even though it's well-known in other parts of the world, it's just starting up in Hong Kong. So, we decided to organize our own SUP day (re)treats that would take everyone out to the waters and create an experience for people to connect to the sand, sea, SUP, practice yoga and connect to each other. Nadine Bubner is an avid runner and triathlon athlete; with the rigorous exercise from running, cycling and swimming she found yoga a haven for both body and mind. Originally from Berlin - Germany, she has been practicing yoga for 10 years and teaching for the last 6 years. She is registered as a Yoga Teacher by the International Yoga Alliance (250 hours) with Yoga Limbs Hong Kong, Prenatal certified with Dr. Jean Byrne - theyogaspace Perth. Furthermore Nadine is a Holistic Health Coach (CHHC, AADP) and IRONMAN Certified Coach. She enjoys teaching yoga for runners, focusing on stretching and releasing tension that tends to develop in the hamstrings and hips and combines it with yin yoga and the insights that come with a slower, deeper, more introspective yoga practice. Diana (Dee) Cheung, originally from Toronto, Canada, enjoys a sweaty pursuit that is challenging, fun and finishes with a coconut water. She first stepped onto her mat at 16 and started teaching yoga two years ago, completing trainings with Patrick Creelman, Radiant Child with Jenny Smith and Birthlight Baby Yoga with Sally Lomas. She loves working with children because they serve as a reminder to stay light, playful and curious all the time!

Hello SUP YOGA HK Community!

It’s Dee here and I want to give you all an update on what’s happened with SUP YOGA HK. Over the last few years we have gone through a lot of changes with relocating back to Germany and I .cheung11 had two little humans who also love the water and back to work full time. We’ve also been met with uncertain times due to the protests and then covid but one thing is for sure- the inquiries for sup never stopped coming!

I was out in Lantau this weekend and saw a boy about 10 years old with the leash around his wrist and the board going everywhere as the tides were coming. It woke me up again as to WHY we started sup yoga HK in the first place and affiliated with a global school- SAFTEY. This boy was unattended and had no idea what to do and was just given a rental board. I made sure I found his parents before giving them both tips to be safe and how to use the board and watch the waters. It didn’t take long but he got the hang of it and the mom was made aware of the dangers of a board in shallow or deep water- especially when little children are around.

So now, if you are a certified sup yoga instructor please DM me as I will use this platform moving forward to share with our community of Home Kong!
