Happy Birthday to my youngest sister, Ella.

I have never been more grateful to watch you grow into the wonderful kid you are today.

Although my sister can’t comprehend that today is her 12th birthday, we still shine the spotlight on her for such a special day.

Kaleidoscope would never have happened without Ella. A few years ago, I was given the task of translating Chinese forms, homework assignments, and therapy instructions meant for my baby sister. Though the local SEN stream does its best, non-Chinese-speaking families are often left out of the picture. With the support of Stamford American School Hong Kong, I started this project as a 16-year-old trying to make SEN materials accessible and affordable for non-Chinese-speaking families in Hong Kong. What began as a small sophomore project presentation has now grown into a group that has reached almost 200 caretakers, parents, and volunteer speakers, all willing to dedicate an hour or two of their time to learn how to make the best use of their resources to help children with Special Educational Needs.

Thank you, Ella. The world has so much love for you.

In these group sessions, participants engaged in hands-on activities to explore a range of A.I. tools for specific tasks: managing ADHD, creating birthday greeting cards, designing event posters, budgeting for a birthday party.

Grateful for our volunteers who led each group: Aaron, Marlon, Jo, Aarna, Joy and Kate!

We had an amazing time! It was a productive and enjoyable afternoon with migrant workers in Hong Kong as they explored A.I. and discovered how to use A.I. tools to enhance their work. THANK YOU to all our volunteers from different orgs/schools and our resource speaker, Mr Ron Tse!

We encourage the participants to post in the comment section the A.I. outputs they generated earlier! Check out our SDE for today's session 🥰❤️💜
