The growing number of forest therapy bases in the country highlights the connection Japan has with nature and its belief in the healing power of spending time in natural spaces.

While you can do forest bathing/therapy in almost any natural space, in Japan, they certify places as a "forest therapy base." They have forest medical experts who assess the designated forest for its walkability, safety, and other factors that allow visitors to receive forest therapy and enjoy its physiological and psychological benefits.

What happens when the clock reaches midnight?

I came across the"Doomsday" clock from a mindfulness cohort I'm a part of. In January of 2025, the clock shifted to 89 seconds away from midnight. The clock is set by global leaders, considering the current geopolitics, including war, nuclear risk, disease, climate change, and disruptive tech. For this group of leaders to shift the clock closer to midnight is a calling to attention that the way things are in the world is not sustainable, and we're heading closer to our self-destruction.

Though I will not let despair dictate how I act, and will continue to move in a way where aloha leads me.

Sharing light and Aloha 🙏🤙
