🥸 Blue Light Glasses: Limited Eye Health Benefits but Possible Symptom Relief
• Blue light glasses effectively reduce the amount of blue light reaching your eyes by filtering certain wavelengths, but current scientific research does not support a clear benefit for protecting overall eye health or preventing eye strain.

• Some users may experience relief from light sensitivity, dryness, or discomfort, especially with glasses that filter a broad blue light spectrum (410–460 nm) or have orange-tinted lenses for evening use to support sleep.

• However, blue light is not the primary cause of digital eye strain; prolonged close focus and reduced blinking are more significant contributors.

📲 Adjusting Screen Settings to Reduce Eye Strain
• Brightness: Match your screen brightness to the ambient lighting-brighter in well-lit rooms, dimmer in darker environments.

• Contrast: Set contrast around 60–70% to ease visual effort.

• Font Size: Increase text size or zoom to ensure comfortable reading at arm’s length, often 125–150% zoom helps.

• Color Temperature: Use warmer (yellowish) tones in dim light and cooler (bluer) tones in bright rooms to reduce strain.

• Dark Mode: Beneficial in low-light settings to reduce glare but may increase strain in bright environments.

• Monitor Position: Keep your screen 20–30 inches away with eyes level to the top of the monitor to maintain comfortable posture and reduce strain.

In summary, while blue light glasses may help reduce symptoms like light sensitivity and improve comfort for some users, the most effective ways to protect your eyes involve optimizing screen settings, taking frequent breaks, managing lighting, and maintaining good eye hygiene.
