Art in Hospital 藝術在醫院

年初，我們受香港華人基督教聯會廣蔭頤養院（綜合安老服務）邀請，與一眾長者進行共6節水墨創作。參與藝術家朱卓慧挑選了一些生活化的題材如花鳥、果盤、蔬菜等，並引導長者掌握毛筆的使用方法，以及水墨畫媒介的特性。剛開始時，長者們都比較緊張，害怕自己的作品未如理想。然而，在藝術家及院方義工的鼓勵下，大家開始暢快地畫出自己的風格。

｜ #魚全部都係魚｜
AndThen曾訪問一位魚畫家 #曾慶靈，他天天吃魚，也天天畫魚，有空便出海釣魚，生活離不開魚。兩年過去，他仍然為魚瘋狂，最近更推出《 香港魚畫 》第二冊。繼兩年前推出第一冊後，再度畫上41幅全新水彩魚畫，同時以文字介紹與每條魚相遇的點滴，內容函蓋海鮮文化、街巿行情、烹調味道和釣魚經歷等等。

藝術家周淑芬及設計師李德輝將於3月29日 (六) 主持講座：「陳餘生的小畫家創作」，分享陳餘生的創作點滴。

關於陳餘生

陳氏於42歲入讀香港大學校外藝術與設計課程，開始其創作之旅。其繪畫視覺語言獨特、風格鮮明，多年來的海內外個人展覽及聯展不計其數，作品廣被美術館及私人收藏。2001年陳氏因肺癌，左肺割了一半，而開始使用電腦繪畫，然而媒介的改變無損其創作熱情，創作出超過四百幅數碼版畫。

陳餘生與周淑芬於1989年創辦文苑畫院，致力藝術教育工作。於1995年，陳氏與學生共同創立藝緣畫會，定期舉辦年展及藝術推廣活動。除此之外，陳氏自1993年以來擔任康樂及文化事務署專家顧問，協助推動香港藝術發展。2013年獲頒授銅紫荊星章。除了創作和教學以外，陳氏亦好寫詩，並出版6本詩集。

陳氏於2020年6月22日與世長辭，享年95歲。2024年，其大型回顧展「明天會再來：陳餘生藝術展」於亞洲協會香港中心展出。

關於設計師李德輝

李德輝是一位資深平面設計師及插畫師。自2002年起，他跟隨陳餘生老師學習塑膠彩繪畫。2013至2014年間，李氏分別被香港教育學院文化與創意藝術學系及皇朝傢俬集團控股有限公司邀請舉辦個人畫展覽。2016年，他受邀參加雲林藝起來臺灣國際藝術交流展。

2005年，李氏與曾潔芳共同創辦「一畫院」，並積極投身於藝術教育逾十年。李氏亦為藝緣畫會的活躍成員，推動藝緣畫會的發展，並策劃「藝術到會」藝術推廣活動。李氏現為藝緣畫會總務。

About Ga***rd Chan

Chan began his artistic journey at the age of 42 when he enrolled in the Fundamental Studies for Art and Design (Special studies in Fine Art) at the Department of Extra Mural Studies, University of Hong Kong. His unique visual language and distinctive style have led to numerous solo and group exhibitions both locally and internationally, with his works widely collected by museums and private collectors. In 2001, due to lung cancer, half of his left lung was cut off. He started using the MS paint soft ware to make artworks in his computer. Despite of the change in medium, his creative passion did not diminish. He kept creating with MS paint and resulting in over 400 digital prints.

In 1989, Ga***rd Chan and Josephine Chow co-founded the Culture Corner Art Academy, dedicating themselves to art education. In 1995, Chan and his students established the Artmatch Group, which regularly hosts annual exhibitions and art promotion activities. Additionally, since 1993, Chan has served as Museum Expert Advisor to the Hong Kong Leisure and Cultural Services Department, contributing to the development of Hong Kong's arts scene. In 2013, he was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star. Beyond his artistic and teaching endeavors, Chan also enjoys writing poetry and has published 6 poetry collections.

Mr. Chan passed away on June 22, 2020, at the age of 95. In 2024, a major retrospective exhibition titled " Never End – The Art and Life of Ga***rd Chan" was held at the Asia Society Hong Kong Center.

About Terry Lee

Terry Lee is an experienced graphic designer and illustrator. He has been learning acrylic painting from Mr. Ga***rd Chan since 2002. Between 2013 and 2014, he was invited by the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts at the Hong Kong Institute of Education and Royale Furniture Holdings Limited to host his solo exhibitions. In 2016, he was invited to participate in the Taiwan International Art Exchange Exhibition—Yunlin Art Together.

In 2005, Terry and Ms. Kitty Tsang co-founded "First Art," and have been committed to local art education for over ten years. Terry is an active member of the Artmatch Group, dedicated to promoting the group and the "Art-on-Wheel" program to enhance art in the local community. He currently serves as the General Affairs of the Artmatch Group.

Kate T. Donohue, Ph.D., REAT, is a licensed psychologist and expressive arts therapist with 45 years of counselling psychotherapy practice. She has taught at California Institute of Integral Studies, Institute for Transpersonal Psychology, JFK University the San Francisco C.G. Jung Institute and many international universities and institutes for over 40 years. She is one of the co-founders of the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association.

Kate integrates her passion of arts into her work, drawing on expertise in visual arts, drama, and dance, particularly West African and Afro-Cuban forms. Her visual arts work in painting and drawing has helped her explore an interest in understanding the sacred feminine. The scope of her work includes a private psychotherapy practice with individuals, adolescents and couples. Additionally, she mentors professionals, provides supervision, and has published in several journals, including Arts and Psychotherapy Journal, San Francisco Jung Library Journal, Encyclopaedia of Creativity and Poiesis Journal.

關於周淑芬

周氏1989年畢業於香港中文大學藝術系，及後於2023年取得香港中文大學佛學研究文學碩士。其作品曾於本地及海外共百餘個展覽展出，並為香港藝術館及私人收藏。周氏現為藝緣畫會會長及香港視覺藝術協會副會長。

周氏畢業後與陳餘生創辦文苑畫院，從事兒童及青少年美術教育工作，從中自行研習兒童美術教學方法，累積三十餘年教學經驗。周氏亦致力向公眾推廣藝術，曾為香港藝術館、漁農自然護理署、各大慈善機構主持繪畫講座及擔任評審。周氏於1995年與畫友創辦藝緣畫會，積極通過「藝術到會」計劃，於20多間學校、社區中心、醫院及青年中心舉行展覽及藝術工作坊。

關於曾繁光醫生

曾氏為精神科醫生，曾於青山醫院任職高級精神科醫生。其文章及訪問常見於各報刊，並出版多本散文及勵志書籍。曾醫生同時為一名視覺藝術家，以抽象畫創作為主，並師從藝術家陳餘生習畫。曾氏於2010年舉辦個人展覽「滄海—曾繁光創作展」。

About Josephine Chow

Chow graduated from the Fine Arts Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1989 and received a Master degree in Buddhist Studies from the same university in 2023. She joined over 100 exhibitions both locally and internationally. Her works are collected by the Hong Kong Museum of Art and private collectors. She currently serves as the Chairperson of the Artmatch group and Vice-Chairperson of the Hong Kong Visual Arts Society.

After graduation, Chow established the Culture Corner Art Academy with Mr. Ga***rd Chan, focusing on art education for children and youth. She explored her own system of teaching children art through practices in different areas and accumulated art teaching experiences over 30 years. Dedicated to promoting art to the public, she gave talks and served as adjudicator for various charity organizations and institutions such as the Hong Kong Museum of Art and the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department. In 1995, she co-founded the Artmatch group with artist friends, which actively promotes art through the "Art-On-Wheels" program, organizing exhibitions and workshops in over 20 schools, community centers, hospitals, and youth centers.

About Dr. David Tsang Fan Kwong

Dr. Tsang is a psychiatrist who formerly worked as a senior psychiatrist at Castle Peak Hospital. His articles and interviews frequently appear in various newspapers and magazines, and he has published several essay collections and motivational books. Dr. Tsang is also a visual artist, specializing in abstract painting, and has studied under the artist Ga***rd Chan. In 2010, he held his solo exhibition titled "The Vast Ocean—Tsang Fan Kwong's Art."

「另外的一個永恒 - 周淑芬及陳餘生的詩畫」展示藝術家陳餘生及周淑芬以畫筆與文字所進行的無盡交流。二人的詩畫對話早見於陳餘生的詩集之中。是次展覽中，周淑芬將展示多幅回應陳餘生詩作的新作品，並挑選陳餘生不同時期的小畫家創作同場展出。

"Alternative Eternity - Poems & Paintings by Josephine Chow and Ga***rd Chan" showcases the endless exchange between artists Josephine Chow and Ga***rd Chan through arts and words. Their creative dialogue has been featured in Ga***rd's poetry collections. In this exhibition, Josephine will display new works responding to Ga***rd's poems, alongside a selection of Ga***rd's MS Paint works from different periods.
