藝術家周淑芬及設計師李德輝將於3月29日 (六) 主持講座:「陳餘生的小畫家創作」,分享陳餘生的創作點滴。

關於陳餘生
陳氏於42歲入讀香港大學校外藝術與設計課程,開始其創作之旅。其繪畫視覺語言獨特、風格鮮明,多年來的海內外個人展覽及聯展不計其數,作品廣被美術館及私人收藏。2001年陳氏因肺癌,左肺割了一半,而開始使用電腦繪畫,然而媒介的改變無損其創作熱情,創作出超過四百幅數碼版畫。
陳餘生與周淑芬於1989年創辦文苑畫院,致力藝術教育工作。於1995年,陳氏與學生共同創立藝緣畫會,定期舉辦年展及藝術推廣活動。除此之外,陳氏自1993年以來擔任康樂及文化事務署專家顧問,協助推動香港藝術發展。2013年獲頒授銅紫荊星章。除了創作和教學以外,陳氏亦好寫詩,並出版6本詩集。
陳氏於2020年6月22日與世長辭,享年95歲。2024年,其大型回顧展「明天會再來:陳餘生藝術展」於亞洲協會香港中心展出。
關於設計師李德輝
李德輝是一位資深平面設計師及插畫師。自2002年起,他跟隨陳餘生老師學習塑膠彩繪畫。2013至2014年間,李氏分別被香港教育學院文化與創意藝術學系及皇朝傢俬集團控股有限公司邀請舉辦個人畫展覽。2016年,他受邀參加雲林藝起來臺灣國際藝術交流展。
2005年,李氏與曾潔芳共同創辦「一畫院」,並積極投身於藝術教育逾十年。李氏亦為藝緣畫會的活躍成員,推動藝緣畫會的發展,並策劃「藝術到會」藝術推廣活動。李氏現為藝緣畫會總務。

About Ga***rd Chan
Chan began his artistic journey at the age of 42 when he enrolled in the Fundamental Studies for Art and Design (Special studies in Fine Art) at the Department of Extra Mural Studies, University of Hong Kong. His unique visual language and distinctive style have led to numerous solo and group exhibitions both locally and internationally, with his works widely collected by museums and private collectors. In 2001, due to lung cancer, half of his left lung was cut off. He started using the MS paint soft ware to make artworks in his computer. Despite of the change in medium, his creative passion did not diminish. He kept creating with MS paint and resulting in over 400 digital prints.
In 1989, Ga***rd Chan and Josephine Chow co-founded the Culture Corner Art Academy, dedicating themselves to art education. In 1995, Chan and his students established the Artmatch Group, which regularly hosts annual exhibitions and art promotion activities. Additionally, since 1993, Chan has served as Museum Expert Advisor to the Hong Kong Leisure and Cultural Services Department, contributing to the development of Hong Kong's arts scene. In 2013, he was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star. Beyond his artistic and teaching endeavors, Chan also enjoys writing poetry and has published 6 poetry collections.
Mr. Chan passed away on June 22, 2020, at the age of 95. In 2024, a major retrospective exhibition titled " Never End – The Art and Life of Ga***rd Chan" was held at the Asia Society Hong Kong Center.
About Terry Lee
Terry Lee is an experienced graphic designer and illustrator. He has been learning acrylic painting from Mr. Ga***rd Chan since 2002. Between 2013 and 2014, he was invited by the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts at the Hong Kong Institute of Education and Royale Furniture Holdings Limited to host his solo exhibitions. In 2016, he was invited to participate in the Taiwan International Art Exchange Exhibition—Yunlin Art Together.
In 2005, Terry and Ms. Kitty Tsang co-founded "First Art," and have been committed to local art education for over ten years. Terry is an active member of the Artmatch Group, dedicated to promoting the group and the "Art-on-Wheel" program to enhance art in the local community. He currently serves as the General Affairs of the Artmatch Group.
