Very happy to share with all of you part of a wonderful evening last month. In honour of the auspicious month of Kartika, we decided to narrate Krishna's childhood Damodara Lila, the pastime in which he gets up to some "butter mischief" and is bound to a grinding mortar by his mother's pure love. As these autumn 🍂 days become increasingly shorter compared to night, *Divali, the beautiful festival of lights, is soon upon us!* 🪔

Having conquered the great demon king, Ravana, Lord Rama 🏹 and his eternal consort and beloved queen, Sita 💎, return to the city of Ayodhya where the joyful and loving inhabitants, in ecstasy to have them back, have lit thousands upon thousands upon uncountable thousands of ghee lamps, each like a glowing heart*💖, and placed them all around the city to light up the night sky and mark their way home. So long have they waited, enduring the dryness of their absence! But now, *just joy!* 🌌

*Please come and join us to celebrate Divali and welcome the glorious divine back into our hearts with kirtan!* 🕉️

In addition to our two Friday night sanghas this month, we will be holding two Divali kirtans this year,
