Happy New Year!!!

As many of you know, I travel often and live simply. Years ago, I started a practice that still grounds me wherever I am in the world. This simple practice is, free, quick and takes up no physical space.

I created an email to myself called GratefulRachelD@gmail.com

Whenever something meaningful happens, big or small, I add to it. Since it is email I can add a photo, voice note, and usually a few words. I love

What matters most is capturing the feeling. The emotion that reminds me I am alive and connected.

This practice is not about pretending life is perfect. It’s about remembering that even during hard seasons, there are moments that keep our spark alive.

When I need perspective or comfort, I open it and remember what I’ve lived and felt.

This is one of the ways I keep my Spark.

As we begin this new year, 4 new private clients spaces will become available starting January 13th, and I’ll be launching a small group experience with 6 to 10 people in early February.

Holidays and finding balance can be tough for many.
Tree Pose is a steady reminder to slow down, ground, and rise tall.

This posture is practiced in layers. If you lose your breath or your balance, pause at the level that feels strong and build your tree from where you are in that moment.

This is how I teach movement and nervous system regulation, both in XR and IRL.

Friends, I'm slowly slipping into my groove here in Da Nang, Vietnam, and wildly grateful to be a student at an amazing space called The Element Studio They took this picture during practice this morning, your evening.

It's been a few years since I've practiced with a group consistently. I miss it dearly. The space is amazing, once I catch up on jet lag and dr appointments there are many other sessions I will be joining. Kettle bell classes, inversions, and open gym. That's right I am "Pumping Iron" (in my best Arnold Schwarzenegger voice) soon.

As a session leader, sure you move and breathe, but my focus is always on you. Meeting, guiding students where they are in the moment, I typically have a rough outline and adjust to who and how people show up. Here, today, I got to move and breathe how my body needed. A welcomed break I didn't realize I was craving.

Living that spark with love and compassion.

XR News: Medical & Health Edition with Dr. Jose Ferrer Costa, a family physician and researcher from Barcelona who's bringing XR technology into public primary care.

Dr. Ferrer leads immersive health innovation at Badalona Serveis Assistencials, developing XR tools for pain management and rehabilitation. He started exploring XR in the metaverse with Educators in VR, and now he's implementing evidence-based interventions that are helping patients in clinical settings.

His team's REDOCVR program for chronic pain management was just published in JMIR XR & Spatial Computing. He's also pursuing his PhD at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, developing the MCDA-XR framework for responsible XR adoption in healthcare.

This is a conversation about what it really takes to move from innovation to implementation in XR!

My name is Rachel D, let’s connect on and off the mat to explore yoga. Yoga is a personal experience and I would be honored to assist in your journey. My goal is to listen, educate and guide you to create your own personal yoga experience in an easy going way that connects with you. Some people want to chant, open Chakras, dance along with the drums and others want a slow flow or an energizing full body power class. Some want a little of everything and you can have it all for your personal blend! I believe yoga is for everybody and would love to bridge the gap to support you in finding your practice.

There are many ideas of what yoga means, what is and what isn’t. This essential component is why yoga is a beautiful personal experience. I have been fortunate to explore several cultures and styles of yoga to gain the philosophy “take what resonates with you and leave the rest”. Let’s talk, set goals and explore what you are looking for in yoga in this moment.
