It started in one woman's kitchen. Now, Nurse Peggy's dream has grown into a 4,500-sq-ft clinic on Roatan, one of the Bay Islands of Honduras.

Clinica Esperanza has become the primary medical provider for hundreds of island families and tourists. Clinica Esperanza provides low-cost/no-cost medical care to the people of Roatan. Patients can receive services from our walk-in medical clinic, women’s health center, pediatric, adult, and dental clinics with support from our laboratory and pharmacy. 🌴 Bringing Hope to the Bay Islands 🌴

The Bay Islands are a tropical paradise, but for many families, access to healthcare is out of reach. Too many mothers and babies face preventable risks because there aren’t enough doctors, nurses, or enough prenatal programs available.

For over 24 years, Clínica Esperanza has been committed to providing life-saving care in Roatán. This year alone, we served over 27,000 patients, 75% of them women and children. But we want to do more. Our goal is to expand our reach across all the Bay Islands, offering prenatal care, maternal education, and safe deliveries to every community.

✨ Our first prenatal class of November was another beautiful milestone for our moms-to-be! ✨

We had an amazing group join us, and it was a day filled with support, learning, and community. 👶🏽💞

We’re still collecting donations to help support these classes. The items we can really use are:
🍼 Baby wipes
🍼 Diapers (sizes 1 & 2)
🍼 Baby clothes
🍼 Breast pads
🍼 “Mommy gifts” for our soon-to-be mamas

We want to give a huge thank you to Calm Ministries for their generosity and kindness.
Not only did they bring down much needed donations for our clinic, but they also took the time to spread love and joy by handing out candy and toys to the children around the clinic. 🍬💖

It’s always such a blessing to see the smiles they bring and the love they share with our community here in Roatán.

A huge thank you to Dr. John & Ms. Theresa Holeman for bringing down donations for our clinic! ✈️💙
Most of these were much needed medications that our pharmacy was running low on, along with many supplies for our Dental Bus, which brings care and smiles to children in different schools across the island. 🦷💛
