On Friday 27th of June 2025, together with 𝐇𝐚ï𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐈𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐇𝐈𝐌, Founder & CEO of Baobab Partners Global Advisory, we had the honour and pleasure to represent Mayotte and be part of the guest speakers at the 5th edition of the Journée Au organised by CCI Réunion .

In a panel and discussions smoothly led by 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚 𝐃𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫, we exchanged on the challenges of entrepreneurship on international level.

I will remember this conference as a unique opportunity to shed light on female entrepreneurs from Mayotte and beyond the Indian Ocean that are willing to leave a positive imprint into the world, each of us with their own expertise.

_REBIRTH REGENERATION RESET EDITION 2024 _ INTUITIVE EATING OR THE NATURAL PATH TO (PERIODIC) FASTING_

After fasting for 5.75 days, I consciously broke my fast to share this moment of conviviality of eating together with the company I was with and now I’m back on track for the past 36 hours.

Waking up with more vitality and inner peace gives me the motivation to continue through the week although some last-minute work assignments might result in stopping this fasting cycle earlier than planned.

I cannot emphasize enough how periodic fasting a holistic experience is, going way beyond physical well-being.

The week before I started fasting, I was extremely stressed and sick to my stomach from some low vibrating interactions and discussions.

About 8 days later, I feel the peace within me regenerated.

Reducing the noise within your body and surrounding is the best you can do for your mind/body/spirit harmony.

While introspection and talking with God is daily practice, I reach another level of clarity and awareness when fasting that I want to last as long as possible.

This is a time for me where what belongs together stays or finds back its way together and what not, naturally fades away.

As I have become an advocate of fasting throughout the years, I can guarantee that this practice naturally comes into place as you develop an habit of intuitive eating but that is another subject for another post.

ONE WEEK HAS PASSED AND THIS SPONTANEOUS FASTING WEEK HAS GONE QUITE SMOOTHLY.
I FEEL TOUCHED BY GRACE AGAIN.
ALTHOUGH THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF THE MOST STRESSFUL WEEK I HAVE ENDURED ON SO MANY LEVELS, NOT A SECOND CAME INTO MY MIND THE IDEA TO GIVE IN AND USE MY INNER TURMOILS AS A PRETEXT TO SURRENDER.
HAVE I BEEN TEMPTED SOMETIMES TO EAT THE LEFTOVERS FROM MY SON'S PLATE? OF COURSE! BUT KEEPING IN MIND THE BENEFITS OF THE EXPERIENCE OF FASTING, THE FEELING OF TEMPTATION DID NOT LAST LONG.
ONE WEEK HAS PASSED AND THIS SPONTANEOUS FASTING WEEK HAS GONE QUITE SMOOTHLY, ALSO BECAUSE I HAVE PRACTICE AND UNDERSTANDING IN THE MATTER.

FOR ME IT COMES DOWN TO 4 CORE AREAS: NUTRITION, FITNESS, MINDSET AND FOOD FOR THE MIND, ENVIRONMENT IN TERMS OF PEOPLE WE ALLOW IN OUR LIFE.

I COULD CERTAINLY WROTE A WHOLE BOOK IF I WERE TO DISCUSS ALL 4 ASPECTS BUT TODAY'S POST IS ABOUT METHODOLOGY/GENERAL GUIDANCE TO FIND YOUR PATH TO HEALTHY NUTRITION HABITS.

JANUARY IS HERE! IT IS AN IDEAL TIME OF THE YEAR TO REFLECT ON THE PAST 12 MONTHS.

WHAT ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH?
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO IMPROVE AND/OR INTRODUCE IN YOUR LIFE?
HOW TO MAKE YOUR VISION OF A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE HAPPEN?

THE STRATEGY I WOULD ADVISE TO IS FIRST TO ENSURE CONSISTENCY IN THE EATING HABITS YOU ARE SATISFIED WITH.

IT IS FAIRLY EASY TO START SOMETHING NEW BUT DEVELOPING IT TO AN HABIT TO MAINTAIN THAT BECOME AS NATURAL AS BREATHING REQUIRES A GREAT DEAL OF DEDICATION.

ONCE YOU HAVE REACHED A LEVEL OF CONSISTENCY YOU ARE SATISFIED WITH, YOU CAN START FOCUSING ON THE EATING HABITS YOU WANT TO IMPROVE AND/OR INTRODUCE IN YOUR DAILY LIFE.

I KNOW, WE ALL TEND TO BE HIGHLY PUMPED AT THE BEGINNING OF A NEW YEAR, FEELING UNSTOPPABLE TO COMPLETELY REINVENT ONESELF.

ASK YOURSELF NOW HONESTLY IF YOU ARE THE TYPE THAT CAN MAKE ALL THE CHANGES AT ONCE YOU SEEK AND SUSTAIN THEM. IF YES, GO FOR IT!

IF YOU KNOW HOWEVER THAT YOU ARE MORE LIKELY NOT THE "ALL IN" TYPE, CHOOSE A STEP-BY-STEP APPROACH, STARTING WITH THE CHANGE YOU ARE MORE LIKELY TO EASILY IMPLEMENT AND SUSTAIN.THERE IS NO GREATER (MIND) BOOST THAN SMALL VICTORIES TO MOTIVATE YOU TO REACH HIGHER AND HIGHER.

DO I EAT AT LEAST A PORTION OF VEGETABLES PER MEAL?
DO I TEND TO EAT MORE ACID PRODUCING FOOD (e.g., MEAT, EGG YOLK, FISH, MOST DIARY PRODUCTS, PASTRY...) OR IS IT BALANCED WITH ALKALINE FOOD (e.g., FRUITS AND VEGETABLES, SOME LEGUMES AND NUTS)?
DO I TEND TO OVER-INDULGE ON PROCESSED FOOD OR AM I MINDFUL?
DO I TEND TO OVER-INDULGED ON FOODS WITH ADDED SUGARS OR AM I MINDFUL?

🍂🍂INGREDIENTS FOR 2 SERVINGS 🍂🍂
1/2 CUP ( 90g) INTEGRAL BROWN RICE
1 PUMPKIN
1 PASTINAKE
90 g TOFU
1 TBSP DARK SESAME OIL
1 TBSP TAMARI
NORI
GOMASIO

🍂STEP 1:
1/2 RICE
3 CUPS WATER
BRING TO SIMMER ON MEDIUM HIGH
TURN DOWN TO LOWER, COVER WITH LID, COOK FOR 50-60 MINUTES

🍂STEP 2:
PEEL AND CUT PASTINAKE IN CUBE
CUT THE PUMPKIN IN HALF, SCOOP OUT THE SEEDS, FIBRES AND DISCARD
CUT ONE HALF OF THE PUMPKIN IN CUBES
ADD PASTINAKE AND PUMPKIN IN A CONTAINER
MARINATE VEGETABLES IN SESAME OIL AND TAMARI

🍂STEP 3:
CUT TOFU IN CUBES (ALTERNATIVES: TEMPEH, SEITAN)
ADD TOFU TO THE MARINATED VEGETABLES

🍂STEP 4
ADD TOFU AND SOME VEGETABLES IN THE OTHER EMPTIED PUMPKIN HALF
ADD THE REMAINING VEGETABLES IN A BALKNG TRAY
PLACE EVERYTHING IN A PRE-HEATED OVEN ( 18O°C)
ROAST FOR 20-30 MINUTES

🍂STEP 5

DIVIDE RICE , ROASTED VEGETABLES , "TOFU PUMPKIN VESSEL" AMONG SERVING PLATES
SPRINKLE WITH NORI AND GOMASIO TO SERVE
