📌 Pozvani predavač – Dr.sc. Saara Salo, psihologinja
Dr. Saara Salo has worked for over 20 years at the Helsinki University Hospital, in the outpatient unit for small children, utilizing many attachment- and mentalization-based assessments and interventions (including Theraplay® and MBT-F). Currently, she devotes about 20% of her time to private clinical practice (www.pilkeklinikka.com
). She is a trainer and supervisor for various methods and interventions (MIM/DEIS ©, Emotional Availability Scales®, Theraplay®, MBT-F), both in Finland and internationally.
She holds a research position at the University of Helsinki, where she studies the transition into parenthood, focusing on parental reflective functioning and relational satisfaction. She also runs a clinical study evaluating the implementation and efficacy of various interventions and treatment programs conducted with high-risk parents.
Dr. Salo is the developer of Nurture and Play©, a prenatally initiated intervention aimed at improving parental sensitivity and reflective functioning.
🟡 At the Practitioners for Practitioners conference, she will lead a workshop titled "Play and Playfulness in Psychotherapy with Children and Families", in which she will present the theoretical foundation as well as concrete ways of implementation, with a special focus on attachment-based playfulness.
The workshop includes examples from clinical practice and an overview of specific play-based interventions such as Theraplay and Nurture and Play.
