Warm food = easier digestion + stable hunger.

Both TCM and Ayurveda view digestion as a fire.

Cold food “dampens” i.e. weakens your digestive fire, and slows everything down. This leads to bloating, cravings, constipation, and poor nutrient absorption.

Because our stomach needs to stay warm to work, digestion works best when it doesn’t have to waste extra energy to warm your food up.

ON TOP OF IT, cooked meals help regulate blood sugar and boost the release of satiety hormones (GLP-1 and CCK – the same ones mimicked by Ozempic).

What does that mean? More satiety hormone = feeling fuller after meals = better energy and more stable weight.

Think 🍲: soups, stews, herbal teas, or letting your leftovers chill out to room temp before eating.

🙋🏽‍♀️EXCEPTIONS:

🔥If you’re overheated – post workout or baking in the sun, then cooler foods are OK as they help regulate body temp. But even then, avoid icy and stick to room temp / slightly cool.

🔥If your digestion is strong (Agni is sharp, high Pitta), you might tolerate cold better. But tune in, your body always knows.

PERSONAL HACK
Soak cold raw fruits and veg in warm water (half boiling, half lukewarm) or leave out in the sun before eating.

Some of you are new here, so here’s a bit about me.

I’ve been dealing with health issues ever since I can remember. It all started with psoriasis which covered 80% of my body, and let’s just say, it wrecked my confidence. I felt like a l***r next to everyone else.

Like most, I went the conventional route, corticosteroids, UVA treatments, and methoxsalen, a DNA-damaging drug that made me nauseous for days. I wore weird orange sunglasses indoors because it made my body light-sensitive. Three times a week, I sat sick and dizzy in a hotbox UVA machine—until the day I threw up mid-session and quit.

But quitting didn’t undo the damage. Corticosteroids kept me in an inflamed loop, wrecking my gut and adrenals, making my skin flare even worse when I stopped. NSAIDs for brutal period pain (really just my liver struggling) only added to the gut destruction.

Stack on years of poor sleep, a junk-food diet, and law school stress.The result? Appendicitis, allergies, celiac, insomnia, hay fever and a life that didn’t feel like mine.

At 23, everything changed—my sister passed, my parents divorced, and I met a naturopath who shifted my perspective. She made me realize that everything we eat, drink, breathe, and absorb affects our health. That’s when I went all in on natural healing.

I tried every diet out there, obsessively searching for answers. By 28, I had left law, traveled across the world, and my skin finally cleared.

My gut was so wrecked that almost everything triggered me. I learned the hard way —there’s no perfect diet. Healing goes way beyond food.

Now, years later (and a few more emotional traumas in the mix), I eat intuitively and focus on what really matters: lifestyle, emotions, stress, and nervous system balance.

Years of meds and trauma wrecked my body, but they also became my greatest teachers. Healing isn’t linear, and you’re never fully healed, you just keep learning.

My mission now is to share what I learned, & help others take control of their health, reconnect with their body and nature, and find balance. I offer holistic nutrition consults for those ready to go on this journey with me. DM me if you’re in. 🤍😊

Estrogen and serotonin are closely linked—when estrogen drops, so does serotonin.

🍫 Raw cacao provides tryptophan, the amino acid your brain uses to produce serotonin.

💦 Its magnesium content soothes nerves, relieves tension, and supports serotonin and dopamine production. No wonder chocolate makes us happy!

Choose unprocessed, unsweetened raw cacao—sugar makes things worse. Ceremonial cacao is best, with the highest antioxidant content.

Swap coffee for cacao during this phase to avoid irritability—coffee depletes magnesium and interferes with calming nutrients.

CEREMONIAL CACAO ELIXIR

Ingredients

2 tbsp cacao powder
1 scoop collagen or gelatin powder
1/4 tsp shilajit
1 tsp blackstrap molasses or raw honey
1 tsp medicinal mushrooms (optional)
1 cup boiling water
2 tbsp coconut cream or 1/2 cup plant milk
Instructions
Blend all ingredients until frothy. Enjoy!

What the doctor ordered… 🌸🏝️☀️

Been debating for weeks now where to go, which means of transport, ferry or plane. I was about to take a 5 hour ferry / 2 hour drive just to prove that I can challenge myself and deal with discomfort.

Thanks to my friends and my intuition, I decided to go with what feels good in my body. Quick flight, calming arrival, clear mind and ready for a week of nature and work ✨🤍

Death and Rebirth ✨🌙🌿

The last 3 weeks have been one of the hardest moments of my life. I’ve been confused, lost, angry, hurt, in so much pain.

Looking at social media posts can make you hella confused. One thing I know for SURE. And what I always use as my compass is NATURE.

Nature has no agenda, it does not lie, it follows natural rythme and she is wisdom.

Where there is death in nature, there is life that is reborn. Leaves fall, get recycled by fungi and give life to new plants.

You have to burn a rice field to grow new crops.

Sometimes you need to crash and burn to be reborn. Everything has purpose. The universe knows best. We have to let go and let her do her thing.

Love you all, hope you are riding the waves of life and letting go of resistance . That’s where the magic happens.

Language of your body 🦋

The body keeps stored emotions. We are infinite beings and everything is connected. When we feel pain, a conflict, an issue, our body speaks to us in symptoms.

For example, an area of the body affected tells you what you are facing. A skin issue on the arms can mean separation conflict. A long standing throat infection can mean hopelessness or grief. Colon problems (constipation or diarrhea) can mean issues letting go. The list goes on…

Listen to them carefully, and you can heal from anything.
