π₯ Physical activity mode for people with kidney disease π₯
Exercise may not have a direct beneficial effect on the urinary system. But the exercise helps the metabolism to go smoothly, control blood pressure, metabolic diseases, overweight-obesity... Thereby helping to prevent and control kidney disease.
So how should kidney patients exercise, here is a kidney disease exercise regimen you can refer to:
π Acute glomerulonephritis
π Stage of progression of oligouria, edema:
The patient needs rest.
π Recovery phase
Light work, normal study, light work such as cooking, laundry, house cleaning, gardening; Exercise activities such as walking slowly, avoiding strenuous physical activities.
π Stable for 6 months
Normal work, light exercise, administrative work, normal housework, light agricultural work; Light to moderate exercise such as brisk walking, swimming, golfing...
π Stable for 2 years
Normal work, can do sports, moderate physical activity, practice sports such as slow running, table tennis, badminton, aerobic exercise ...
π Chronic glomerulonephritis
If proteinuria < 1 g/24 hours:
π Grade I kidney failure: can perform physical activities such as volleyball, basketball, soccer, speed running, long distance running, gym training...)
π Renal failure grade II, IIIa: moderate physical activity, exercise and sports such as slow running, table tennis, badminton, aerobic exercise...
π Grade III kidney failure: normal housework, administrative work, light agricultural work; Light to moderate exercise such as brisk walking, swimming, golfing...
π Grade IV kidney failure: performing light work such as cooking, laundry, house cleaning, gardening; Exercise activities such as walking slowly, avoiding strenuous physical activities.
If proteinuria is > 1 g/24 hours:
* No hypertension:
π Renal failure grade I, II: Moderate activity, avoid heavy activities.
π Renal failure grade IIIa, IIIb: Normal administrative work, housework, suitable mode of physical activity from mild to moderate.
π Grade IV kidney failure: Moderate activity, avoid heavy activity.
* Hypertension
π Renal failure grade II, II, IIIa: Normal administrative work, housework, suitable mode of physical activity from mild to moderate.
π Renal failure grade IIIb, IV: Moderate activity, avoid heavy activity.
π Nephrotic syndrome:
In progress: Lighter work, more rest.
