We are hiring!

Aghada Community Playgroup
Your Local Preschool in Upper Aghada, East Cork are looking for an Early Years Educator (AIM Support) to join our team. The role will be to provide AIM support within a classroom (alongside two key persons) in our morning and afternoon rooms.

The role will be 30 hours per week, 8.45am - 3pm Monday to Friday, with immediate start, until June 2026, with the possibility of extending until June 2027, depending on funding.

We are looking for candidates who have
• QQI level 5 Childcare qualification (Minimum requirement)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• An ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
• Knowledge of Aistear & Siolta Frameworks
• Be kind, caring and positive in their interaction with children
• Have an understanding of AIM
• First Aid essential and Manual Handling an advantage
• Appropriate Garda Vetting/ Police Clearance
• Knowledge of Child Protection

We are also recruiting for other positions and for relief staff to cover leave!
