What a lovely message for a Sunday morning from Bronagh Starrs . Gently does it 🌟

You want to know the secret to happiness? It's not financial freedom or a perfectly toned body or the perfect partner or robust health or a beautiful home or a wonderful family. It's possible to have all of these and still struggle with anxiety, low self-esteem, isolation and emptiness. And happiness is not to be found in the future...I'll be happy when I lose two stone, when I pay off the mortgage, when I get that promotion. To promise yourself happiness in the future means that you feel you don't quite deserve it in your present life. Happiness is not complicated. To be happy, it's simply necessary to be kind to yourself. Be a great friend to yourself and cultivate a gentle internal voice, full of compassion. You'll not get to where you want to be by shaming yourself. Stop with the emotional abuse; stop with the toxic self-criticism. These are statements of trauma and of not having enough safe adult support and validation when you were a child. They are not a statement of your lack of worth. Children make meaning of their struggles by feeling bad about themselves...and many of these children continue the habit into adulthood and right throughout their lives. They become professional at it. Life is hard...don't make it harder by beating down on yourself. Be kind to your wee soul 🥰🥰🥰

Hello Autumn 🍂 🍃 🎃 season of ‘letting go’

HELLO OCTOBER
THE SEASON OF LETTING GO

And so begins the season of letting go,
when Mother Nature shows us all,
how it’s done.

Let go,
free yourself,
shake it off,
drop it,
give way for the new.

Create space for new thoughts, new ideas,
new adventures and new connections,
by shedding the dead weight you’ve been carrying around,
for so long.

And whilst you are there, being reborn and renewed,
let go of old anxieties too.

Let go of any doubts, fears or beliefs which no longer serve you well.

Release bitterness or past hurts which feast on your beauty.

Be brave,
Don’t fear the nakedness as your leaves slip away.

Mother Nature doesn’t,
watch and learn.
