My own yoga practice looks different these days.

And that is okay.

Early parenthood is full on. Postpartum recovery takes time and patience. I ended up with an emergency C-section, and as with any serious surgery, healing is a process.

Each month I am much stronger. I definitely feel my practices helped me during birth and after.

I've turned to my Yoga experience many times. From gentle belly breathing to settle myself after a night feed, to shoulder and neck stretches to release tension from feeding. More recently, doing Yoga with baby Isobel; I've been doing tummy time with her.

My four year old also has much more interest in yoga too now, and lately we've played with balances and humming bee breath.

But mostly, the impact of Yoga is in the unsung, quiet moments. The grace I give myself to meet myself where I am any given moment. To let myself feel what I need to feel. The ability to use my breath to bring me into the present moment. These are all lessons I learned on my mat.

Kindness. Self-compassion. Self-understanding.

What has Yoga taught you? x

As I navigate life postpartum, in this uncertain world, I find myself living by the mantra, the only constant is change.

In my heart, I knew there must be something similar in Irish. There is, and it is even more beautiful:

Anáil na beatha an t-athrú.
Change is the breath of life.

Change is possible, transformation is possible, especially when we come together in community.
We are not powerless.
Change can happen.

Share with someone who needs this reminder.
I know I did.

So much love ###

We've been busy organising this special Lúnasa weekend for Gaza.

Join us this Lúnasa, the ancient Irish Celtic festival of harvest and abundance, for a day of healing, connection, and solidarity at Dragonfly Yoga Studio

In the spirit of Lúnasa, a time to give thanks for the fruits of the earth, we gather to harvest hope and nourishment for Gaza. Through Yoga, breathwork, and mindful movement we’ll root ourselves in compassion and collective care.

There are three special sessions to choose from led by Tracey O'Malley, Gary Patterson and Abaigéal Warfield.

All proceeds from this event will go directly to Gaza go Bragh urgent helping to sustain families facing unimaginable hardship.

🌿 Let’s align the sacred rhythms of Lunasa with the urgent need for justice and sustenance.

Together, let’s turn tradition into transformation.

All classes must be booked in advance via link in bio. Then once you are booked in go to our fundraiser page and donate what you can. 🍉

Let me introduce Isobel Éada 💕

The new light in my life who arrived on none other than the Spring Equinox.

Our daughter, our Summer Solstice fairy girl, picked her sister's name because she said was going to be like a beautiful fairy too. And, she was right.

Her middle name Éada is in memory of my late mother Sinéad, who reinvented herself when she went to UCD in the late 1980s as Éada.

The Spring Equinox is imbued with significant spiritual meaning. It is a time for growth. A time of equal light and shadows. A time of healing, for opening to new beginnings.

I'm feeling it all. Home safe in my nest. Me and Isobel are doing well. There have been loves lost along the way, but their love lives on in new hearts alive with love, hope, and a little bit of wonder.

My heart is overflowing.

Love from our family to your this spring 🌼 🌱

Abaigéal, Oisín, Ileana & Isobel x

Exciting News! We've been nominated.

Our Ballyhaunis Business has been nominated by local families for Business of the Year in the Pregnancy and Baby Category of The Family Edit Awards

Those of you who know me, will know I am passionate about all things pregnancy and baby. But more than that I want to support women on their journeys. I strive to empower mothers, providing a nurturing space where they can be held, supported, and connect with one another.

I am beyond moved that so many of you nominated my business and classes for this award, especially as I embark on the next phase of my own motherhood journey (with baby two almost ready to join us).

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

If you haven't nominated us yet and you would like to, nominations are still open.

So much love from me and bump x

✨Meet Tracey✨

Tracey O'Malley offers Tai Chi & Qigong classes at our studio in Ballyhaunis on Thursdays.

Tai chi is a type of martial art that originated in China while Qigong is a traditional Chinese mind-body practice. Both involve a series of slow, gentle movements and postures, combined with deep breathing and meditation.

While Tai Chi started as a form of self-defense, it has evolved into a popular exercise for health promotion and rehabilitation. Both practices are often described as "meditation in motion" because they focus on mindfulness and relaxation while moving.

The goal of Qigong is to cultivate and balance your body's energy, known as "qi" or "chi," to improve overall health and well-being.

Some of the many benefits of regular practice include:

* Improved balance and coordination
* Increased flexibility and muscle strength
* Reduced stress and anxiety
* Enhanced cardiovascular health
* Pain management

Tai chi & Qigong are generally considered safe for people of all ages and fitness levels.

Tracey has been practicing Tai Chi and Qigong for over a decade. She teaches Tai Chi on Thursdays at 7.30pm. Her new term begins tonight so there's still time to book in.

You can text Tracey for the details or contact her via messenger on Facebook at Tracey O'Malley

About Tracey:

Tracey came to Ireland from the UK to Ireland 25 years ago for a holiday, met her husband and never left 💞

She was a very busy mum of 2 sons, who are now grown up and flown the nest. She loves animals and has a menagerie of pets at home.

She brings a beautiful energy to the space and is a joy to be around.
