Having worked with families as a psychotherapist, I’ve seen first-hand how means testing for carers leaves too many people invisible.

Families providing care often go unrecognised. Without support, not only are carers themselves overlooked, but so too are the people they love and look after.

Abolishing means testing is about fairness, dignity, and recognition, ensuring every carer is valued, not just those who meet a financial threshold.

Every hour of care matters. Every carer matters. It’s time policy reflected that.

Sometimes it can be scary to pause. Taking small pauses, even just 30 seconds can give the brain a much need rest in this busy world and build up a sense of safety with pauses.

This specialised psychotherapy service supports individuals, couples, and families in strengthening relationships, improving communication, and navigating challenges.

Fantastic resource for men in the locality. Men coming together to normalise challenges and have peer support West Wicklow Mental Health Association

West Wicklow men aged 18 or older are invited to participate in a seven-week mental health support programme at the Baltinglass Parish Centre in March.

This takes time.......it can seem quicker and easier to shut the emotions down.....it can take alot out of parents to saty in the eye of the storm. If you can, not only do they learn to get comfortable with their emotions but it strengthens your connection too. They trust you can hold all of them 🥰

Yes! If we can get comfortable with all our kids' feelings, then they can too! It's a lifelong gift we can give them.
