A Renault, Nissan, or Opel van come online with an active AdBlue countdown: “0 km until no start / Starting Impossible.” ⛔
Sometimes the fault is correctly identified as a failed NOx sensor and replaced. Other times, the issue has been triggered by low AdBlue levels, poor fluid quality, or a system irregularity. Either way, the expectation is the same—the vehicle should be back on the road once the issue is addressed.
But that’s not always the case. Even after a correct repair, the countdown can remain active, leaving the vehicle immobilised. Time is lost, the customer is waiting, and the workshop is left with a job that won’t complete.
