Just to say thanks to all at the Crocus Cancer Support centre for making the last 6 weeks such an enjoyable experience. We had lots of laughs as they learned the Ba Duan Jin Qigong routine. It has many benefits from joint flexibility, posture, stress relief and blood and Qi circulation. Looking forward to returning in the near future.

Grateful to be sharing the gentle power of Ba Duan Jin each week with the wonderful community at Crocus Cancer Support in Monaghan.

This ancient Qigong practice is all about slow, mindful movement, breath, and balance helping to reduce stress, improve energy flow, and support overall wellbeing. It’s been amazing to see how something so simple can bring calm, strength, and connection to so many.

Each session is a reminder that healing isn’t always about doing more it’s about slowing down, tuning in, and moving with intention.

Thank you to everyone who shows up, shares the space, and brings such warmth to these sessions.

Tried the sauna + ice baths yesterday and honestly it was fantastic. Jen has created something really special with proper heat, proper cold, and the setting is amazing looking out at sea.
It was a fabulous way to start the day.

Buzzing to be hosting some workshops there soon.
More details coming very soon.

Breathwork Recovery Mindset

Stress affects your breathing.
When you are under stress you tend to breathe more shallower and often more quickly. What we need to do instead is to slow down our breathing and to extend the exhale. This activates the parasympathetic nervous system calming us down and reducing stress. Breathe in through your nose and slowly exhale making sure it is longer than your inhale.
Try next time you feel under stress and feel the difference.

That’s a fingertip pulse oximeter. Here’s what the reading shows:
• SpO₂ (oxygen saturation): 99%
→ I am happy with that. Normal is typically 96%
• Pulse rate: 59 bpm
→ I’ve always had a relatively slow heart beat. Heart beat ranges are typically between 60–100 bpm, but athletes or calm resting states can dip into the high 50s.

This Qigong movement is called “Gathering”
It’s a movement that gathers the energy (Qi) from the Earth and sky and brings it into your body. At the same@time you take long slow deep breaths flooding the body with oxygen.
This simple movement can be practiced anywhere and it activates the parasympathetic nervous system making you feel calm and relaxed. Try it yourself and feel the difference it makes.

What a beautiful Saturday morning and there is no better feeling than to start the day with some Qigong on the beach. Allow the heat of the morning sun to warm your face and the clean sea air to fill your lungs! Feeling refreshed and ready for the day.

A look back at our Stress Busting 1-Day Retreat at Carlingford Yoga.

We started the day by slowing everything down with guided breathwork, learning how powerful controlled breathing can be for calming the mind and resetting the body.

Then came the challenge of the ice bath.
A moment of discomfort that quickly turned into clarity, resilience, and a real sense of accomplishment.

In the afternoon, we headed out into nature for a hike through the beautiful Cooley Mountains, taking time to switch off, reconnect, and appreciate the landscape around us.

We finished the day with Qigong, gentle mindful movement designed to restore balance, release tension, and leave everyone feeling grounded and relaxed.

A full day of breath, movement, nature, and connection It was the perfect reset for body and mind.

When was the last time you faced your fear?

I’ve recently signed up for the Champions Abseil at the Skyview Tower in Dublin and to be honest, I’m both excited and a little nervous! The tower stands at 197 ft (60 metres), making it one of Dublin’s tallest landmarks.

Taking the leap from the top will definitely push me outside my comfort zone, but I’m doing it for a cause that truly matters.

I’m raising funds for Special Olympics Ireland, an organisation that provides incredible opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities to train, compete and thrive through sport.

If you’d like to support this amazing cause, I would really appreciate it if you could click the link in my Bio to donate. Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference.

Thank you for your support!

How well do you sleep?
Sleep is a foundation of your health. Quality sleep helps your body repair tissues, balance hormones, strengthen your immune system, and support heart and brain health.
3 simple steps to improve your sleep environment:
1. Turn off WiFi
2. Put phone on airplane mode
3. Sleep on a ground/earthing sheet
