We are joining with youth work organisations nationally calling for a €21.3 m increase in funding for youth services, so we can reach more young people, protect essential services, and build stronger, safer communities across Ireland.

If you have a couple of minutes to spare we would appreciate your support to improve support for youth work in Ireland - to show that more than being something nice to have, that it is something essential for every community

People from all generations are calling on politicians to fund youth work in Budget26. Will you join us?

Child Trafficking has been documented in every country across the globe, and Ireland is no exception. Child victims of trafficking can be ‘hidden in plain sight’ within cities, towns and villages, including Bray.

Human Trafficking refers to Sexual Exploitation, Employment Exploitation and the Trafficking of our young people into criminality, especially in relation to illegal drug use and supply.

Trafficking of our young people into criminality has become an area of serious concern in recent years and we are hoping to get this message out into the community.

Bray Anti-Human Trafficking Committee comprises of representatives from An Gardai and local community groups collaborating to produce information resources and raise awareness about the problem of Child Trafficking.

Group member Barra John was chosen to deliver a speech on behalf of Belong To at Dublin Pride's Merrion Square Family event.

We continue to be impressed by and immensely proud of Barra and all our young people who are finding their path to adulthood

Our admin office for the project - through Bray youth service has moved and is experiencing some disruption, but our weekly group continues as normal in the Seomra Youth Centre, and staff are contactable via 0867792587

- Bye bye St Bricins -

As of today, Monday 11th May, Bray Youth Service admin office has vacated premises at St Bricins on The Herbert Road.

We are moving into the recently renovated Holy Redeemer Parish Centre directly across the road. While the distance is short, the logistics of moving are complex and at the moment we do not have reliable email and office telephone services

Staff can be contacted via their mobile phone numbers. The office landline isn't operating at the moment, but all emails are still accessible, although their may be a short delay.

The operation of our various services, including the Drug Ed programme, Youthspin, Seomra, Newtown, Kilcoole and Rathnew Youth projects will be hopefully delivered with the minimum of disruption.

Normal admin services will resume as soon as we settle in to our new home, apologies for any inconvenience.

We had such a great conference in the Arklow Bay - big thanks to everyone that attended or helped out. We had 80+ young people in attendance, travelling from Wexford, Enniscorthy, Gorey, Naas, West Wicklow, Swords, Dun Laoghaire, Greystones, Arklow and of course our own group from Bray.

A great day, hearing from long time activist and current historian, Tonie Walsh, Bray youth group member Barra John did us proud with his talk, and we had some fun and creative workshops exploring different ways of expressing your voice - written word, spoken word, visual art and music.

We followed the work with dinner, an open mic session and a disco. Friendships and memories were made.

It was all recorded by a graphic artist and below is some of her amazing work
