Preparations are underway at Seomra for Oíche na hÓige 2025

Bray Youth Service will be hosting activties for our groups in Bray, Newtown, Kilcoole and Rathnew.

Youth clubs and services will showcase youth work in every corner of Ireland. Show support and visit your local event on 21 November.

Navigating the Festive Season Together with your LGBTQ+ young person
Facilitated by Dr Ray O’Neill
Christmas can be a difficult time for some LGBTQ+ young people, without the normal social supports that they can come to rely on throughout the year.

Join us online on Wednesday, 26 November from 7pm to 8pm for a supportive and practical information event for parents, guardians and carers of LGBTQ+ young people.

At this webinar, clinical psychologist Dr Ray O’Neil will provide information on how you can best support your young person through it, helping to manage festive pressures, foster inclusion and sustain wellbeing during the festive period for all in the family.

What we’ll cover:

Making Christmas More Inclusive — Supporting yourselves and your LGBTQ+ young person during Christmas
Staying Grounded — Managing stress and expectations as a parent or guardian
Navigating family dynamics and conversations over the festive period

We know that LGBTQ+ young people can face challenges and stresses as they navigate their day to day life. This webinar is a space for you to learn how to best support and understand their needs.

Belong To and Pieta will host a free online webinar for parents and carers of LGBTQ+ young people. At this event, members of Belong To's Family Support Team and the clinical team from Pieta will share advice and guidance on how to support young people through challenges faced growing up LGBTQ+.

We are joining with youth work organisations nationally calling for a €21.3 m increase in funding for youth services, so we can reach more young people, protect essential services, and build stronger, safer communities across Ireland.

Child Trafficking has been documented in every country across the globe, and Ireland is no exception. Child victims of trafficking can be ‘hidden in plain sight’ within cities, towns and villages, including Bray.

Human Trafficking refers to Sexual Exploitation, Employment Exploitation and the Trafficking of our young people into criminality, especially in relation to illegal drug use and supply.

Trafficking of our young people into criminality has become an area of serious concern in recent years and we are hoping to get this message out into the community.

Bray Anti-Human Trafficking Committee comprises of representatives from An Gardai and local community groups collaborating to produce information resources and raise awareness about the problem of Child Trafficking.
