Not every small life is insignificant.

This tiny creature you see is responsible for something far greater than itself — it helps pollinate the plants that grow the food we eat, the flowers we admire, and the ecosystems we depend on.

Bees are not our enemies. They don’t exist to harm us — they exist to sustain life on this planet. Without them, our world would look very different, and far less alive.

Next time you see a bee, don’t react with fear. Take a moment to appreciate the quiet work it’s doing — work that keeps nature in balance and humanity thriving.

Kindness doesn’t have to be grand. Sometimes, it’s as simple as choosing not to harm something small.

Protect the pollinators. Protect our future. 🐝🌼

In light of last week’s verbal racist abuse, we took appropriate initiatives as a team. We were truly overwhelmed by the support that followed — it reminded us just how generous and compassionate the Irish community really is.
This week brought an outpouring of encouragement, and we were delighted to welcome five new volunteers at tonight’s soup run. With that said, it was back to work as usual — 325 meals served tonight, with six six-foot tables filled with food. An additional 150 tents were ordered this week, so the van was fully stocked and ready to go.
TY students also joined us and prepared a huge number of hygiene packs, which were distributed on the night. The appreciation from those we serve is immense, and we are equally grateful for the continued support from our families, friends, and wider community.

We'd also like to give a huge shoutout to the guys at for their presence, support, and help at the soup run.

A kind gesture goes a long way, and the hand of appreciation is worth its weight in gold.

Have a beautiful weekend

TO THE WOMAN WHO IS SLOWLY FADING AWAY...

To the woman who has lost her spark.
To the woman whose get up and go,
has well and truly gone.
This is for you.
This is to remind you whose daughter you are.
This is to remind you, that you don’t have to be
everything, to everyone, every day.
You didn’t sign up for that.
Remember when you used to laugh? Sing?
Throw caution to the wind?
Remember when you used to forgive yourself
for not always being perfect.
You can get that back again.
You really can.
And that doesn’t have to mean
letting people down or walking away.
It just means being kinder to you,
feeling brave enough to say no sometimes.
Being brave enough to stop sometimes.
And rest.
It starts the moment you realise
that you’re not quite who you used to be.
Some of that is good, some of that is not.
There are parts of you that need to be brought back.
And if anyone in your life is not okay with that...
they are not your people.
Your people will be glad to see
that spark starting to light up again.
So, if you have been slowly fading away my friend,
this is the time to start saying yes
to things that bring you joy
and no to things that don’t.
It’s really pretty simple.

Research shows that chronic emotional stress — especially in relationships where boundaries are repeatedly crossed — keeps the body in a state of threat. Over time, this doesn’t just affect mood; it impacts identity, clarity, and mental health. The body starts to carry what the mind keeps trying to justify.

Sometimes it’s a friendship marked by imbalance.
A role that demands constant self-sacrifice.
A family dynamic where limits are ignored.
Or a relationship where your presence is tolerated, but your needs are not.

We stay because we’re wired for connection.
We keep giving because hope, attachment, and loyalty are powerful forces.
But when connection repeatedly costs safety, the nervous system eventually responds with exhaustion, numbness, anxiety, or collapse.

Letting go isn’t a failure of love.
It’s a regulated response to prolonged dysregulation.

Healing requires safety. Growth requires room.
You cannot restore yourself in environments that continually activate threat responses. You cannot expand while constantly bracing.

People may say you’ve changed.
What’s often happening is that your body has stopped tolerating what your heart once tried to endure.

Leaving isn’t abandonment.
It’s self-preservation.
And sometimes, the most evidence-based act of healing is recognising when distance is no longer avoidance — but protection.

January is the month,
For relaxation and rest,
To recharge our batteries,
And to build a warm nest.

While the wind is biting,
And the snow gently falls,
We find a sweet sanctuary,
Within our four walls.

Nature has retreated,
Right back to the roots,
Apart from the snowdrops,
That are producing new shoots.

The sun seldom shines,
As it hides behind each cloud,
The birds remain quiet,
And the wind is roaring loud.

So I'll seek shelter for now,
As I hibernate and restore,
Whilst dreaming of the Springtime
And what it holds in store ..
