Mother’s Day❤️ From a very young age I knew I wanted to be a mother. I used to daydream about it a lot. And I’m one of those lucky people whose dream about becoming a mother came true.
Of course motherhood has a lot of challenges, just as I imagined it would. But despite all those challenges, I love that I can offer a hand to hold when the steps are wobbly or when the world feels too big. A lap to sit on when someone is feeling tired or simply needs physical contact. A warm embrace when needed. A listening ear, whether it’s about your school day, a song you like or a problem you’re having. A smile, an encouraging word and sometimes words you don’t want to hear.. To offer a safe space, a harbour that my children can sail further and further away from. But I’ll always be here waiting❤️
I like to think that a big reason to why I wanted to be a mother is because I had such a wonderful mother myself. And it pains me that I never got a chance to share the ups and downs of motherhood with her. That will always be the biggest grief.
