The 2026 Amateur Drama Council of Ireland Full-Length Festival Circuit begins tonight! Connecting communities, celebrating storytelling, and showcasing the extraordinary talent that lives in parish halls and theatres nationwide.

It is with deep sadness that the West Clare Drama Festival marks the passing of Michael Gallagher. Michael was a much valued member of our Festival Committee for a number of years. He also shared his love of drama on stage with Doonbeg Drama Group in many productions as well as part of the stage crew. He was a talented singer also, which he showcased both on and off the stage, entertaining us all in our Festival Clubs.

Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with the Gallagher and Tubridy families, Michael friends, and all who knew him as part of our community. He will be fondly remembered by all involved in the Festival.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Season Tickets, costing €90 each for our forthcoming West Clare Drama Festival of full length plays, taking place in Doonbeg Community Hall from the 7th to 15th of March are still available.
