Self-Development Through Psychoeducation & Group Facilitation ✨

For Parents & Carers

Each 2-hour session combines gentle psycho-education, interactive group work, and guided discussion — helping you deepen self-awareness, understand emotional responses, and reconnect with calm and confidence.

This isn’t about judgment or “fixing.” It’s about gaining knowledge, support, space for reflection, and growth —in a supportive space facilitated by Catriona, a Certified Mindfulness Teacher & Trainee Counselling Psychotherapist & parent who understands the realities of parenting and caring.

🕯️ 10-week block | 2 hours weekly
🗓️ Starting Thursday, November 13th
⏰ Two options: 10:30 am – 12:30 pm or 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

I am so excited about this unique workshop, combining group Facilitation & Psychoeducation. I am most excited about facilitating it for parents and carers, as I feel these are the most difficult roles we find ourselves navigating in life and it's an area that's under supported in society.

What is it?

It's my heart and soul in a book, my tears, my laughter and my hope and empowerment.

I designed every inch of this book. From the poems I wrote from my heart to the book design that I loved creating and matching to each poem and each page.

What was my aim for the reader?

Very simply I wanted to create a journal that would bring the reader on a journey of self exploration, love and empowerment.
A journal that would hold and comfort you on days of rough sailings.
A journal that would uplift and set fire to the joy in your soul.
A journal that empowers you to reach within and live the life of your wildest dreams.

The journey I went on when writing and creating this journal was a journey that will forever be with me. I grew more emotionally in those months than I have in the 38 years previously.

I always wanted to give something truely special to the reader and I hope that you feel I did.

At the minute I'm only selling it through amazon but in the near future I will be getting it up on my website. I just haven't got the time available for dispatch and postage by myself at the minute.

This poem was born from my past and present relationship with defeat.

Don't get deterred by closed doors or plans that didn't work out the way you thought they would.

Not all doors can be for us, there is more people on this journey sharing the same aspirations as us. In time the reason of why you didn't get the opportunity will usually become clear. Maybe you didn't get it simply because there's better waiting for you.

In work and life I have always been someone who is very driven and motivated. When I got an idea in my head I'd give it 110% until I got it where I wanted it to be. This was also a learned survival/coping skill.

Life doesn't always work out as we planned and when I didn't achieve the end results I had dreamed of, it would hit me hard, very hard. I'd pine & lick my wounds for days but then I'd dust myself off and move on to the next strategy.
But the thing was I'd carry that knock with me for weeks or months as if it were a personal attack on me, on my life. I couldn't see that it was just life's journey, it just wasn't meant to be.

Now I see life alot different, I still approach work and life in the same driven manner but only with focus on the effort not the goal.
However if and when I meet defeat I search for the lesson, the teaching and I take the defeat with a good dose of radical acceptance.

BASELINE DOPAMINE REGULATION

I have been studying the dopamine pathway for nearly 7months now and I'm still amazed by the depths of how it influences our mental health.

Science based education & awareness of how our internal world works is the key to optimal mental and physical health and vitality.

My workshops foundations are based on SCIENCE led education and practices. To achieve regulation of baseline dopamine and serotonin pathways, along with regulating your autonomic nervous system.
The ingredients to help us all achieve our best life.

These are practices that I gained a new life from. I started practicing cold water immersion, breathwork and meditation two years ago and the healing mentally & physically that I have gained from it has been life changing.
So I had to seek out the education and science facts of why this happened to me and now I want to share it with everyone.

That's the simple version of why I'm popping up in your feed 😁.

The simple life is the good life.

We have to ask ourselves why was our parents or grandparents generation so content?

Peace was in abundance within the simple ways of life.
Not wanting or constantly reaching for means of entertainment.

Allow your life to be simple, allow space for greater fulfilment.

You deserve it.

Create peace that lasts more than a fleeting moment. Sustained peace is worth the work.

Burn Out..

Let's not accept it & let's start lessening it.

Don't accept it as a natural reaction to living a busy lifestyle.

Instead reduce burnout by the following:
Get involved in practices to achieve a balanced level of baseline dopamine.
Put the work in to bring regulation to your Autonomic Nervous System which in turn will reduce stress hormones, regulate organ function and in turn regulate serotonin levels.

Serotonin - also known as our natural antidepressants, it plays a role in many functions in our bodies for example: mood stabilisation, concentration, learning, memory capacity, sleep quality, and serotonin is required to promote healthy digestion.

1. Did you know up to 90% of serotonin is produced in your intestines.

2. Autonomic Nervous System plays many roles within the body, one of them is in regulating our gut function.

3. Stress and burnout causes dysregulation to our Autonomic Nervous System. (Burnout is also caused by dysregulation in this system it goes both ways)

Can you now start to see how all these areas of our body are all interlinked?
If we are aware of how they work then we can start to manually control them.
Instead of them controlling us.
We are very finely turned creatures and we need to start learning the manuals of our bodies.

Take control of how your internal world works & then you gain deeper control of your life & environment.

But most importantly you gain a deeper level of peace & happiness. Isn't that the goal?
If it's not then make it your goal, you deserve the best so get to know the way you work inside.
