🎣 "Sure what harm are they doing?" 🤔
We’ve heard this question more than once — especially when people are found fishing after the park has closed.

Here’s the truth:
Fishing outside of designated hours is not allowed.
Why? Because the Angling Park is a community-run facility, and the fees paid by anglers go directly back into restocking the lake and funding valuable Tidy Towns projects around Aughrim — projects that benefit everyone in our village.

🛠️ The facility is maintained by local volunteers, CE and TÚS scheme workers
🐟 Fish are paid for by Aughrim Tidy Towns
🌱 All profits go straight back into the community

We’re proud to have such a special amenity in the heart of Aughrim. Please help us protect it — by respecting the rules and encouraging others to do the same.
