Positive Counselling is located on the main street Carnew, Co Wicklow. Counselling takes place in a strictly private and confidential setting to explore a difficulty or distress that you may be experiencing. Edel is a fully qualified Humanistic Counsellor and Psychotherapist with a special interest in Suicidology. Edel believes the essence of her work lies in the relationship that develops between herself and the client. Where a trusting, therapeutic alliance infiltrates a space for change and healing. A positive, safe and non-judgmental environment may help you see your difficulties with greater clarity or help you have different perspectives. Edel studied for six years in total, incorporating a Graduate Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from IICP. These courses are recognised by the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). Edel’s additional qualifications include a Diploma is Suicideology and a Health & safety qualification which can support with workplaces stresses. Edel works with a wide range of issues relating to
