Keane (nee Coen). Imelda, Chapel Road, Abbeyknockmoy, Tuam, County Galway, 1st May. 2026. Peacefully, in the exceptional care of the staff of St Anthony’s Ward, University Hospital, Galway.

Predeceased by her husband, Peadar, parents Pat and Kate, brothers John, Francis, John Anthony, Patrick, Gerald, Michael, Bernard and sister Mary, daughter-in-law Agnes and son-in-law Sean.

Deeply regretted by her sons and daughters, Joe, Mary, Martin, Padraic, Noel, Caroline, Gerard and Deirdre, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sister in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Imelda will repose in Mannion’s Funeral Home, Abbeyknockmoy (H54 RW94) on Monday 4th May 2026 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm with removal afterwards to St. Bernard’s Church, Abbeyknockmoy (H54 KX60). Mass of the Resurrection on Tuesday 5th May 2026 in St Bernard’s Church, Abbeyknockmoy (H54 KX60) at 12 noon. Imelda will be laid to rest afterwards in Abbeyknockmoy Cemetery.

Peacefully in the Claddagh Ward, University Hospital, Galway surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his parents, Walter and Ellen, Twin baby daughters, Paula and Majella, sister’s Maureen, Cath, Brid, Pexie, Frances, Nuala and brother Alick.

Beloved husband of Noreen, devoted Dad to Noel and Ailish, daughter- in- law Aoife and son- in- law John.

Walter will be sadly missed by his adored grandchildren, Ryan, Leah, Matthew, Conor, Lexi, Adam, John’s son Jason, his brother’s Sean and Tommy, sister Patty, sisters- in- law, brothers- in- law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and many friends.
