Sometimes the real work of a case begins only after the case has been taken. At times we need to do quite a bit of research to figure out just what remedy might be the one for you as remedies can be quite similar . This is why a homeopath will ask you many questions and will want to know what symptoms feel like, or when they might be better or worse. By getting quite into the detail of the symptoms we can gain more clarity so that we can give you the remedy that closest matches your symptoms.

Many of the remedies we use in Homeopathy are derived plants that we have in our immediate surrounding. Through careful preperation, trituration and then later potentisation they are made into powerful remedies. The more potentised the less there will be any of the original substance of the plant left which makes them safe to use.
Urtica Urens is used for a lot more symptoms than above but there are other remedies that might be suitable too. In order to find out what remedy might be of help it is always advised to contact a homeopath to help you find out what remedy is most suitable for you.

Here are some of the essentials you need when starting with your Homeopathy journey. I wish the book 'Homeopathy at Home' by Marcus Fernandez would have been around when I started using Homeopathy more than 25 years ago - but it only came out last year and has been extremely successful. Our local bookshop Sheelagh na Gig Bookshop has it in stock.

The kit in the picture is quite old and has been all over the world with me since I got it 25 years ago- its starting to show its age as it has been battered and had to be refilled numerous times.It is always one of the first things in my bag. It has helped me many times when I was travelling and has been my first go-to for many years for all ailments being with family members or pets when at home. It comes with a little booklet telling you about the remedies and in what situations to use them. These two items are really useful when starting out as they cover not only for all the cuts and bangs of life but they are equally of help with a lot of common acute illnessses and can be very useful in times of stress and anxiety. For me knowing Homeopathy has been a real lifesaver!

Today, very unexpectedly, we lost our cat Tasha. Tash came to us about 4 years ago after her former owner had died - and she catapulted herself into our hearts. Incredibly affectionate and demanding at the same time she would make herself known with her very croaky miaow, and this she did a lot. I will miss my conversations with her.
The last two days she was very restless and I gave her Arsenicum which calmed her down a lot - and Aconite helped her on the journey to the vet where she underwent a procedure for her heart. Sadly though, she died a few hours later when we were at home, which was quite unexpected.
Homeopathy has a lot of remedies that can help when the end is drawing near - and also remedies for the people that are left behind. I treat my cats with Homeopathy all the time and they actually have started to draw my attention to them at times when they need them. I was glad that I was able to help Tash at the end .
