I'm having some craic at home tonight!! It's my 15th birthday on Friday so I'm literally scouring the house for my pressies, but I can't find them anywhere!! Mum & Dad have done some job of hiding them this year!! And Dad keeps saying "Maybe they don't exist!!" He's not fooling me that easily!!!! 🤣 Anyway, I'm not even counting down to my birthday - the one that's 30 hours 47 minutes and 23 seconds away!!! 😂

Always the best of days when I'm with my great friend Fran Curry on Tipp FM radio!!! I gave him all the gossip from my huge meeting yesterday with Tanaiste Simon Harris TD at Government Buildings about the Assessments of Needs national crisis!! It was amazing to hear the 2 minute clip the Tanaiste sent to Tipp FM praising me, and where he went on the record with positive commitments!! l need to keep working with Michael Murphy TD and Minster Hildegarde Naughton T.D. to make sure that "Cara's Fund" gets many millions in the Budget in 5 weeks time!!! Now I must head back to school for a History exam, as you do!!!! 🤣

THE "BRAWL IN THE DAIL" WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!!!!

I'm exhausted - what a day it's been!! From meeting the Opposition leaders, to meeting the Tanaiste Simon Harris with Minister Naughton, to giving him a cake with "The Brawl in the Dail" on it, and then sitting with him to negotiate - it's been amazing!!!

So I've secured HUGE commitments from the Tanaiste!! Legally, l wanted them to put a new law on the table by January, and promise to retain the right to an Assessment of Need & not change the 6-month timeframe to assess children, which everyone said they were going to do to stop themselves being lawbreakers - I GOT ALL OF MY ASKS!!!!! And I've secured a 100% commitment to increase funding to "Cara's Fund" in the Budget on Oct 7th!!! While the amount isn't fully decided yet, it's in the millions, I'm rich, YIPPEE!!!! And all of my suggestions to find therapists were described as good ideas, which will now all be followed up on!!

We're nowhere where we need to be, but I'm going to continue staying 100% positive & focused until real change happens!! Positive advocacy DOES WORK!! Many thanks to the Taniaste for his really positive engagement today.You can tune into Tipp FM tomorrow at 10am if you want to hear the full gossip from today!! WHAT AN AMAZING DAY!!!!
I was so thrilled & honoured to cut the ribbon at the Newport Community Centre and open their new sensory room & garden!! And who was there to help me only Tipperary hurling manager Liam Cahill and star player Sam O'Farrell, wow!!! What an amazing community Newport is, and a huge thanks to everyone there for the incredible reception l received. Many thanks to my great friend Fiona Bonfield & the community of Newport for the invite - I'm so proud of every one of you!!!!

My parents said they're so proud of me today - I've just become the youngest person to ever write an opinion piece for the Sunday Independent!!! That'll give Simon Harris something to think about over breakfast this morning!!! We've just received the unbelievable news that my amazing brother Neil can officially start school on Monday as his newly sanctioned teacher is now ready to go and will be waiting for him at the front door!! We're absolutely thrilled for him as he can now start school on day one !! It's about time the Department treated him with some respect, although I'm not done with them just yet!!! So Mum and l are taking a few hours off this evening to treat ourselves as we've had a hard-working week!! Enjoy your evening everyone!!!!

Only 4 days to go to "The Brawl in the Dail"!!!! I was thrilled that my letter made today's edition of The Irish Times, which starts the cranking up of pressure on the Government again!! They think they know what's coming but I have a load of surprises up my sleeve!! But the big question is - who's going to win 'The Clash of the Ash' this time!!!

Did anyone hear about that upstart journalist in Co. Tipperary accusing the Government of circling the wagons around Presidential candidate Heather Humphries!!!! And the worst part - she's only 14 years old!!! I think she should be doing her homework or something!! I mean, how dare she!! 🤣 And then she tries to make herself look all tough by putting in a photo of her with boxing Olympic gold medalist Kellie Harrington - who does she think she is, Clint Eastwood!!! I think that Tanaiste Simon Harris should summons her to Government Buildings for a "Brawl in the Dail" next Monday morning and finally put this journalist in her place!!! 🤣
