Raised cholesterol levels can be triggered by many different reasons. Common ones I see in clinic often are hypothyroidism, diabetes & poor nutrition intake.

Working with a nutritionist is a great way to improve those blood tests and reduce the need for medications.

The importance of follow ups when it comes to nutrition? ✨

There is often a lot of focus on the initial consultation when it comes to nutritional therapy. This is when we deep dive into your symptoms & discuss your current diet. This is also where the initial plan of action is made, your protocol!

Follow ups are just as important (if not more)! During follow up sessions we discuss what worked in your protocol & what areas need more support. I then update your protocol to further the support you need with added advice & recipes

I usually recommend 3 sessions in total, and this is where we see the magic of nutritional therapy come to life, as seen in this lovely review! ✨

How easy is it to revamp our diet for the better? ✨

When it comes to nutrition, I believe small consistent changes are the best way to go!

Taking on too much change at once may hold up for a week or two but usually we end up reverting back to hold habits.
🔸
Forming a couple of new habits week after week until they become the new 'norm' is a more realistic way of changing up our food habits.
🔸
Nutritious food should be enjoyed, not resented. Enjoy the journey ✨

🔸Getting good quality, restful sleep at night is fundamental to a well functioning immune system.

It is such an important macronutrient. It is responsible for countless processes in the body & is also what helps us feel satisfied after eating.
Protein is a key component in keeping our blood sugars balanced which is why I will always advocate for a protein based breakfast every morning to set you up for the day ahead.
