Well done to our Talk Ability families on completing the final home visit. We are delighted to see changes in conversation skills and tuning- in to others thoughts and feelings. Parents are now applying strategies to support their child's interactions with their siblings and peers. Well done to everyone 😊

Happy New Year to all of our TalkAbility families. We hope that you have had fun over the Christmas break including Hanen TalkAbility strategies (the 4S's, I-Cues & Tuning-In vocabulary) in your conversations, play and sharing books with your child. This term we look forward to helping you to apply these strategies to help your child to play and interact with other children.

Well done to our TalkAbility families who competed the first home visit last week. Heading into session 3 this week successfully using TalkAbility strategies:
- 'Hook's' to get your child to look.
- 4 S's, stress, say less, go slow and show to highlight non verbal language.
- 4 I's to help your child take more turns in conversation; Include interests, Introduce new ideas, Insist on your turn and Interpret your child's messages.

Charlotte Cogan and Jane Hegarty have recently set up Let's Connect ASD Parent Training. Charlotte and Jane are specialist speech and language therapists working with children with ASD and their families. They have over twn years experience in this field and have worked with children from two to eighteen years. When it comes to supporting a child's conversation and social interaction skills they have found the Hanen TalkAbility Program for Parents is the most successful approach. During small group sessions you will learn startegies to impliment with your child. There are also individual sessions at home with the child.
