There has been a dramatic rise in Tuberculosis (TB) cases in Ireland — this must be urgently addressed. 🫁

In 2024, TB diagnoses increased by over 30%, with a fourfold rise in drug-resistant TB and a worrying surge in paediatric cases.

St. James’s Hospital, which leads national TB care, is now operating at full capacity and struggling to meet demand. 🏥Urgent need for Department of Health and the HSE to act immediately to provide the resources needed.

Without necessary funding, our TB services will not be able to meet current or future demand — putting public health at risk.
