We’re proud to mark the successful conclusion of our Emerging Leaders Programme, developed in collaboration with UCD Professional Academy.

This programme was created to support and develop the future leaders of our organisation. Over five days, the participants explored the core foundations of effective leadership through five key modules, each designed to build confidence, competence, and connection in their roles.

From learning how to lead with self-awareness and emotional intelligence, to embracing inclusion, coaching, empowerment, and resilience, every session brought new insights and practical tools that can be applied immediately in the workplace.

Thank you to everyone who took part with such openness and energy. Your commitment to developing your leadership skills will have a lasting impact, not just on your own career, but on the teams and colleagues around you.

Here’s to the next chapter, and to leading with purpose and authenticity!

In June, we were proud to collaborate with the Irish Centre for Diversity to further strengthen our commitment to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDI&B).

Over the course of the month, we hosted a series of impactful webinars. We began with an introductory session on best practices for fostering inclusive workplaces, followed by focused discussions on Allyship, Inclusive Language, and Active Bystanding—each designed to cultivate a culture of respect, inclusion, and belonging.

We’re especially grateful to Rob Fitzpatrick (he/him) from the Irish Centre for Diversity for his insightful and empathetic facilitation. Rob shared practical, actionable strategies to help ensure that everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work.

For three years, watching over Dublin's skyline, our College Square tower crane helped us reach new heights! Standing 103m tall, it has completed its purpose, and in a two-day operation, we recently deconstructed this fabulous lifting equipment without incident, prioritising safety every step of the way.

Another significant milestone for a vibrant mixed-use development set to transform the heart of the city.

A huge thanks to Marlet Property Group for their continuous trust in us.

Building a Safer Workplace Together 🏗️

No one person sets out to cause an accident or endanger their health or the health of others at work, but even the most diligent employees can sometimes engage in behaviours that increase risk.
That's why Behavioural Based Safety (BBS) Training is so important. BBS helps us understand why unsafe behaviours occur and, more importantly, what we can do to encourage actions that support a safer and healthier workplace where everyone looks out for each other and shares their concerns in a clear and open way. To reinforce this ethos, our safety commitment boards are prominently displayed on all our projects.
Furthermore, our Health & Safety Manager, Alan Worrall, has led the roll out of our BBS programme across all projects, together with our training partner, project teams and supply chain colleagues.
Their tremendous efforts have led to an enhancement of our safety culture, and a noticeable decline in negative behaviours and unplanned events.
We're excited to build on this success as we kick off Phase 2 of our programme later this year!

Walls Construction is delighted to announce an extension of its relationship which commenced last year with Meath Camogie so that we now support all their Underage Development Teams.

This support includes match day and training kits, nutrition advice, travel, equipment, pitch hire, strength and conditioning training and life skills coaching. We were particularly delighted to take part in the first Meath Camogie Empowering Players Workshop last year, when women working in various roles in Walls including project management, engineering, quantity surveying and health & safety presented to over 100 players from U13 to U17 on their careers in construction, highlighting the similarities between the skills and attributes required to do well in sport and in a fast paced and rewarding industry such as ours.

Meath Camogie’s intention to develop the stars of tomorrow matches perfectly with our values, including the importance of going the extra mile, preparedness, and team spirit, and especially so where our relationship might contribute to an increase in the numbers of females pursuing careers in construction and the related disciplines. We look forward to an exciting journey ahead!

Walls Construction is delighted to announce the appointment of Gareth Brady and Stephen McNulty to its Board and Cathal Healy’s promotion to the position of Chief Operating Officer.

Gareth, who joined the business in 2014, is appointed as Estimating Director.

Gareth has been responsible for leading the Estimating function during a period of outstanding company growth in terms of the size and scale of our projects and annual turnover, and his contribution over this period has been exemplary.

Finally, Cathal’s promotion to Chief Operating Officer (COO), is another step in an impressive career since joining Walls following his graduation in Civil Engineering from the University of Galway in 1996.

Walls Construction was honoured to attend this years’ Women in Construction Awards, where we had the opportunity to connect with many incredible women shaping the future of the Irish construction industry.

We observed strength, talent, and diversity represented across various roles — including engineers, project managers and site leaders. The room was filled with powerful voices and inspiring stories.

Congratulations to our very own Hafsa Alghazi, Graduate Engineer, who won the Rising Star of the Year – Contractor Award, a tremendous achievement, and to all our other nominees up for awards on the night.
