🌟 Looking After You When It’s Busy🎄

December can be magical… and also a wee bit too much!

So here’s your gentle reminder not to wait until January to care for yourself.

• Step outside for daylight and fresh air
• Drop the 'perfect Christmas' pressure
• Protect your peace by saying no when needed
• Hydrate, breathe, pause often

Tiny choices add up.

You deserve calm, comfort & wellbeing - even in the busiest days 💛

🎄✨ Festive food is here to be enjoyed - without the “ugh, why did I do that?” afterwards.

🍪Choose the treats you really fancy
🍴Slow down so you can taste what you're eating
✨Stop at 'that was lovely' instead of 'I’m stuffed'
🎄Remember balance is about days & weeks, not just one plate

Eat with joy, not guilt. Savour every bite. ✨

The Festive buzz is real - but so is the burnout if we don’t pace ourselves.

A few small ways to keep your sparkle shining:

🎨 Brighten your plate with colour (think berries, satsumas, Brussels)
😴 Guard your sleep like a gift
🌬️ Sneak in little bursts of movement
💛 Do more of what you enjoy & makes you feels good

Fuel your body. Support your mind.
Enjoy the season - without the slump. ✨

✨ December doesn’t need to feel like a marathon of meals, parties and meet-ups.
A wee bit of structure can really help you feel balanced & energised

• Keep mealtimes roughly consistent
• Prioritise protein to avoid the sugar crash
• Keep a bottle of water nearby
• Add one 'anchoring habit' daily, like a walk, stretch or a sit down with a cuppa

This festive season can be full without being overwhelming. Choose what keeps you grounded and well 🎄💛

🎄 The countdown to Christmas is ON… and with it comes fizz, food, fun & sometimes fatigue.

I’m all for the sparkle (yes, I’ve got my nights out planned too🥳!), but here’s how to enjoy the season without the slump:

✨ Choose the parties you want to go to, not just the ones you feel obliged to.
🍴 Eat before you head out—arriving starving is a recipe for overdoing it.
💧 Alternate your drinks (water → alcohol → water). Simple, effective.
🥂 Focus on the company, not the buffet table - you’re there have fun & connect, not feast on the canapes!
🌿 Fresh air the morning after = instant reset.

On the run up to the festive season, let’s celebrate, savour & stay connected to how we want to feel: healthy, happy, festive - not frazzled.

Stress, Speed & Chewing - Why Meal Habits Matter 🙏

GERD Awareness Week UK • 16–22 November 2025

Do you often eat at your desk, on the go or when you’re stressed?
This can have a huge impact on digestion.

Our bodies digest best in a calm, “rest-and-digest” state — but when we’re rushing or multitasking, we switch into “fight or flight”, slowing digestion and increasing the likelihood of reflux.

A few small changes can help:
• Step away from your workspace when eating
• Avoid scrolling or working through meals
• Eat slowly
• Chew your food thoroughly (more than you think!)

Chewing gives your stomach a head start and can significantly reduce reflux symptoms.

If reflux is affecting you day-to-day, I have a limited number of Power Hour consultations available in December to help you improve digestion and enjoy all the festivities without the discomfort.

Why Reflux Happens + Common Triggers 😖

GERD Awareness Week UK • 16–22 November 2025

Many people assume acid reflux is caused by having too much stomach acid — but often, the real issue is the Lower Oesophageal Sphincter (LES).

The LES is a ring of muscle that should open when you swallow and then close to keep stomach contents where they belong. When it weakens or relaxes (due to lifestyle, food choices or conditions like a hiatus hernia), reflux becomes much more likely.

Common triggers include:
• Chocolate
• Coffee
• Alcohol
• Large or high-fat meals, especially in the evening

Small adjustments to these can make a big difference.

If reflux is getting in the way of your comfort or routine, I’ve a limited number of Power Hour consultations available in December to help you understand your triggers and support your digestion so you can 'party without the pain' this festive season.

✨ GERD (Acid Reflux) Awareness Week UK • 16–22 November 2025

It’s GERD Awareness Week — a reminder that persistent reflux isn’t something to ignore.

If you’ve had heartburn, indigestion or reflux for 3 weeks or more, it’s important to speak with your GP, as ongoing symptoms can increase the risk of Barrett’s Oesophagus and oesophageal cancer.

Reflux has many different triggers, and understanding your own pattern is one of the most effective ways to prevent flare-ups and protect your oesophagus.

Throughout this week, I’ll be sharing practical tips to help you manage reflux with more confidence — especially as we head into the festive season.

If you’d like to enjoy celebrations without the discomfort and want personalised guidance on reducing your symptoms and improving your digestion, I’ve got a limited number of Power Hour consultations available in December.

✨ Course Feedback Highlights ✨

Recently, I ran a 4-week online GLP-1 support course for those currently using weight loss injections or considering them. It was a lovely, warm, interactive group where we explored how these medications work, how to manage side effects, and how to build long-term habits around food, movement, and lifestyle to support lasting results.

💛 It meant a lot to receive such thoughtful feedback from participants, especially knowing how much clarity and confidence they gained.

📆 I’m planning to run another course in the new year. If you’d like to join or find out more, just drop me a DM.
