We lost our shining light, our beacon of emense strength & hope,grace & dignity in the early hours of this morning, our fighter Carol passed peacefully surrounded by her boys & family. I have no words to describe the pain emptiness & helplessness we feel. She was loving, joking & selfless right to the end. Please keep carols boys in your prayers at this time.

Very saddened to hear the news of Lyndseys passing, another true fighter, taken too soon from her girls, god love them & her family at this time 🙏 R.I.P.

Carol was admitted to hospital over the weekend with pneumonia, doctors are not allowing visitors at the moment as she is too sick & weak
please keep her in your prayers

The cost of a cancer patient is overwhelming, as if they don't have enough to deal with, medical cards only cover so much, not everything a person needs while enduring this insufferable disease is covered

A woman living with incurable cancer has told of her "impossible" struggle paying charges for cancer treatment amid the cost of living crisis.

Linda Bowdler, 45, from Dublin and others like her must contend with charges of €80 each time she visits a hospital for essential, life-prolonging treatment.
