Meditation is...

Cultivating awareness. Awareness is the essential precursor for having the capacity to feel at home, at peace and to help discover what joy means to us - the individual. On our mats, in meditation, checking inwards and moving forwards to more internally referenced choices is what will bring about the greatest ease during this short lived experience.
It's my role to help you come home to yourself by cultivating greater awareness and most importantly in a sea of noisy marketing... to remind you that you are already, a well being.

Weekend Plans?.
I'm currently still by the pool in the sun... but by the skin of my teeth I'll be winging my way to Dublin and into a tent by 10.50am tomorrow to bring some Movement & Meditation to the wellfesters 🙌🏼.
Come create some smiles with me if you're there! The perfect slow grounding way to start a weekend of festival fun! I'm back again Sunday MCing some fantastic talks. I really can't wait to see you all and feel that in person magic once again!!!.

STROLLING... into another year with more gratitude in my heart than I thought was humanly possible.
Another year, expanding my capacity....... to love, find contentment, feel acceptance, to connect better with others, to teach/guide in new ways and ultimately soften more sweetly into a satisfying slowness that brings me so much joy. Here's to more of the same because the now is pretty spectacular!.

Meditation is...

NOT... being terribly serious, mega relaxed, super serene or extremely ethereal. This week I worked with a few corporate groups and my favourite part of the sessions was relieving people of the pressure that they felt about what meditation is. The myths, the conditioning, the assumption that we need to 'do' so much to meditate.
The reason I prefer to train people in meditation in lieu of meditation classes is because... you DON'T NEED ME. I'm just here to guide, educate and support you to independently meditate comfortable in the knowledge that there's no doing it wrong. A life long gift. We simply show up, fully ourselves for ourselves and hang out a bit together each day. Hanging with your best mate for a few minutes each day. (because newsflash, we should all be our own best mate!).
I am here for all my messy, busy, frenetic, fidgety, giggly, loud personality. I don't force her away and assume a persona for meditation. I want meditation to make me even more me. Because when that happens we step into life so much more determined, confident, sure and in flow.
Oh and of course, releasing stress, soothing the nervous system, healing, resting etc etc are all some beautiful extra sprinkles on top!.

ENERGY? Do you use your power over power?

So many of us are running around on a half empty tank. Operating in a rest deficit when we have power to cultivate, change and create more energy. You know I'm going to always point to meditation first - an easy/ accessible way to drink in some deep rest saturation - topping up at the start or end of the busy work day. More sleep, less doing, better fuel, more concious connection with the energy givers and takers of our world... I could go on and on (but I'm minding my energy)! Just a thought for the day, just a suggestion moreso for you to take a look at your energy levels, how you approach them and what is in your power to do to help raise yours daily?

I don't do many collaborations on here as it can become a sea of ads, but I DO take an iron supplement and I DO find it a great to help my energy levels so I'm happy to share! An invitation....

Meditation is an invitation from yourself to yourself. A chance as such, to meander home into the cave of your being to rest, release and reconnect to that deep well of intuitive wisdom. Yeah, it really is that powerful.

I'm pretty excited to have some wonderful experiences coming up over the summer, and this one is right up there! Dunderry is situated in the heart of historic County Meath, close to the ancient sacred sites of Tara, Newgrange and Loughcrew, surrounded by 25 acres of wooded parkland and a lake. It was a space set up to help people cope with the stress of life and I am honoured to have the opportunity to be a part of it's gift. I will be leading people through a meditation in the magical surrounds of their megalithic dome (cairn) as part of the Soft Lights Festival June 4/5th. In the cocoon of the earth, we will sink down, ground down into the cocoon of our spirit. Genuinely so excited for this one oh and... Kila are playing that day too (fan girl moments sure to happen, perhaps I'll bring the fiddle!).

'Time to settle in, ground down and get comfortable with Moons (Sinead Mooney), using the natural cocoon to assist in quieting the world outside, we will then sink further inwards and feel into our knowing with a moment to consciously clarify the body/mind. Moving from doing to being, this session will allow you to truly experience yourself'.

Do you need more support?

Yes. It's a rhetorical question. With so much being asked of us, so much expected to be completed with a modern day 24 hr, we all need more support.

This weather has been amazing but talking to my friends/clients... many of us can hold space for both - crying in the sunshine... Something I remember doing last year mid a hard wobble period. But I'm so sick of hearing about people having quiet wobbles/low hum dispair, overwhelmed but just trucking on. Life is too short for it to be so hard. Meditation is one of my huge supports so I've just popped another meditation on the Insight app, it's free! Please enjoy, take 8minutes to support yourself today. As a certified Meditation teacher I'm mostly about teaching people to Learn to Meditate independently in a 3x session course format but it's nice to sprinkle support for those intruiged. (tonight is the start of last one til Autumn jus FYI, it's tonight and the next 2x Tuesdays) .
I'm posting more than normal these days, the mind rambles, should I stop because it's too much, should I come off social altogether!? Sigh, it's a hard place to navigate amidst the ads.
But.... NOPE, I'm refusing to feed the fear monkey or give time for potential judgement shade. I've too much to say. The passion that I have to be a curiousity inducing voice amidst the ads, keeps me rockin. I want to help more, more, more. I've been squirrelling away at creating more fresh ways I can support you all, I'm super excited to tell you the new ways I'm working now. More soon. LOVE Mx.

Did you notice the F E A R sliding in...?
On March 11 2020 I found out the greatest most terrifying news. On March 12 2020 the global pandemic was announced and we entered lockdown.

At that point fear started to seep in. Like an unwelcome guest, it slid in and around my bones covering over what was a foundation of contentment and surety. 

Time went by and like an impairment I simply learned to live with this low key hum of fear. I stopped noticing it was even something to notice. We shifted, time moved on and it's only recently in this cultural emergence I began to feel an inner conflict across many facets of life.
Why are things so hard? Why don't I want to go/see/do? Why are those negative worries weaving around so many exciting/positive ideas? Fear. The duality of still housing so much fear while generating so much excitement is limiting and exhausting.
It's time to leave now, you serve no purpose anymore only to taint progression, enjoyment and healing. You served a purpose but through no fault of my own, pandemic times raged on too long and I forgot you were making yourself at home. I'll invite you back again for a quick visit when needs must but your heavy presence was holding me back from moving on. Don't let the door of my new boundary line hit you on the way OUT. New chapters are being written, exciting times ahead 👋

I'm so grateful for Joyce's recent article in - it may not directly correlate at first glance but it sparked the curiosity that gifted me time to reflect. Thanks to my meditation practice that has the wonderful power to help untangle restrictions within me that I didn't even know were there... Free flow freeing of fear flow. I see you now.

It's TIME!

I'm heartbroken hearing so many people taking lately about being...in a funk. It's not surprising at all, but the disempowering 'stuckness' so many are feeling trapped in, is. Improvement isn't inevitable, change is.

We can either have life happen and change around us, just about getting through, meandering along with the current of other's choosing or... we can stop - take note - empower, and start to live more on purpose. Choosing our change. I begin again next Tuesday/Wednesday for a 3x week journey that is grounded in ancient wisdom traditions but firmly curated to powerfully shift our lived experience in this modern world. Ancient practices/wisdom - modern results driven framework. A unique complimentary and potent blend. It works.

This all might sound grandiose but it's not, it's simply helping people wake up. So many of us are coasting, surviving the days and not using the power we have to pause (meditate) and proceed (designing how we want things to look). This course is the antidote to the anxieties, overwhelm, apathy and general feelings of meh... so many of us are experiencing. Learning to Meditate is key, it's the pathway to an abundance of intuitive wisdom and daily stress release (3x Sessions). Learning to Life Design, quite simply puts you back in the driving seat (3x Sessions). Do one module, do both (€199/€99) or... do neither - unless you're ready for change.

Take your heart gently in your little paw and whisper sweet poetry to it often...
The poetry of stillness, soft shoulders in rest.
The poetry of movement, heart singing, body wriggling, in celebration around it.
The poetry of breath, a slow dance to soothe and sigh.
Today is a beautiful reminder to stop. Think about how kind you are to yourself and others... And be kinder. Whisper sweet poetry, often.
