As part of National Play Day 2025 we teamed up with Waterford City and County Council to offer play packs to two groups that regularly borrow WSP play equipment to host their own play events within their communities.

The City based group to receive a play pack was the Polish School and the Dungarvan based group was Tournore Court Residents Association, we look forward to seeing some photos from your next Play Day!🤸🙌

🥾🌧️ Exploring Crotty’s Lake with Kilmacthomas Hillwalking Club! 🌄

A huge thank you to Kilmacthomas Hillwalking Club for leading a brilliant hike to Crotty’s Lake in the Comeraghs over the weekend. 🌬️💧

Despite the wet weather, spirits were high and the scenery was well worth the effort! A fantastic group of 17 people took part - embracing the elements and the adventure.

We’re so grateful for the experience, local knowledge, and warm welcome from the club. Here’s to more wild and wonderful days in the hills! 🙌

Ireland have again awarded funding for the 2025-2026 period.
Three application deadlines are set. The first deadline is COB 18th August 2025.

🌊⛵ HER Outdoors – Women Learn to Sail! ⛵🌊

Our 6-week HER Outdoors Women Learn to Sail programme launched on Friday in partnership with Waterford Harbour Sailing Club – and what a fantastic first session!

Participants kicked things off with some sailing theory on shore before heading out to sea to put their new knowledge into action. A huge thank you to Joss Walsh from WHSC for expertly leading the session and making everyone feel confident and capable on the water. 🙌

This programme is all about empowering women to try something new, build skills, and enjoy the great outdoors – and we’re thrilled to see it underway! 💪🌅

Well done to all the participants who completed our recent Chair Aerobics Programme, expertly facilitated by Niamh from Siel Bleu Ireland! 👏🪑💪

Over the past few weeks, you've shown incredible commitment, energy, and enthusiasm, proving that movement truly is medicine. To help continue the great progress made, each participant received a take-home exercise sheet with simple, effective routines they can do at home. 🏡📝

We really appreciated the feedback from participants who shared:

🗣️ “I can't join normal exercise classes due to health issues but having a class like this has made me feel included.”
🗣️ “I liked that I was encouraged to do more exercise at home.”
