Today, we launch our latest Policy Briefing, titled ‘interRAI-HC and the Statutory Home Support Scheme'.

With an endorsement from Professor Kathy Eagar AM, and reference to the OECD’s (2025) recent comparative study of long-term care , this policy briefing outlines nine critical questions that must be addressed to ensure the successful and equitable implementation of Ireland’s forthcoming statutory home support scheme.

The goal of this briefing is to ensure that the statutory home support scheme is implemented in a way that is , and -for-purpose across population groups and settings.

We pose nine policy questions, outline why each issue raised matters and offer a set of , politically and operationally feasible .

These are complemented by three anonymised real-life case studies drawn from Dovida’s experience of working with clients with diverse needs.

❤🤍Dovida Louth were delighted to donate €500 to the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre. This charity was chosen by our Caregiver of the Year, Therese Byrne.
