This is a practice developed by Susan Kidd who is a Reiki Master Teacher & Holistic Healing Practitioner based in Enfield, Co. Reiki is an ancient non-intrusive complementary therapy where the practitioner channels energy from a higher source through them and into the client. This energy will automatically travel to the point of greatest need first and works at all levels: Body, Mind and Spirit and can heal issues in the Past, Present and Future. It enhances the body’s own natural ability to heal itself on all levels restoring balance and harmony, providing deep relaxation and bringing a sense of peace and well-being. Your Reiki treatment begins with a short chat and the filling out of a simple consultation form. This gives an idea of how you are feeling and what areas to work on. I will explain and demonstrate the different hand positions which will be used during the healing session. Lying on a treatment table or sitting on a chair with relaxing music playing, I will start working at your head and slowly work down your body stopping at different energy points called chakras. During this time I channel energy which flows through my hands and into your body and aura always going to the place of greatest need first. Everything is done on a purely energetic level there is no physical manipulation whatsoever. Reiki reawakens the body’s natural ability to heal itself. It is an extremely relaxing experience, reducing stress and leaving the client calm yet energised. A Reiki treatment is usually one hour in duration, young children and animals will require a shorter session normally about half an hour. A single session is very beneficial however some people will require further sessions once a week for a while to achieve more profound healing for longstanding conditions. Reiki will compliment and enhance medical treatments but is never intended as a substitute for medical care. Susan is a fully insured member of the Reiki Federation of Ireland.
